19 April 2014 at 7:00 pm #130040Am I missing something?Espinoza is brilliant at the running around and tackling bit, but at times his passing is shocking.
It was exactly the same yesterday. He had a decent game but was behind McArthur, Gomez, and Perch for me.
Much like the England team, who no doubt will do great things down in hot, humid Brazil come Summer. We can but live in hope ..
Possession, ball retention and quality 9/10ths the law (Gomez). Super strike !

is your opinion …
incidentally, last game Gomez played against Reading at DW – 3 went in …. Premiership, if I’m not mistaken B)
If Gomez does walk on a Bosman come end of the season, I personally wouldn’t be surprised to see Martinez take a punt on him at Everton
Did he look out of place at Wembley /Arsenal last week, … City /Cup Final last year … did he, did he … no , didn’t think so.
Niche, my a3se
Understand the game !
19 April 2014 at 7:57 pm #130043Indeed….. Provided he has intelligent players in front of him who are prepared to make themselves mobile, he’ll be plenty good enough !
He’ll continually get caught on the ball however if they stand rooted in the shadow of a defender with a gormless expression on their chops

Reading got relegated that season ! We shall see which Prem sides come in for him should he leave at the end of the season ! Yes, my opinion which I am fully entitled to !
19 April 2014 at 10:05 pm #130046Another couple of excellent results today…QPR loosing means we have a very good chance of overtaking them. Ipswich loosing means we are 6 points clear of 7th place with those teams only having 3 left to play….
Bottom line now is 1 more win and we’re 99.9% in the play offs. Let’s go for it at the Dingles and get the job done…certainly against Blackpool next week failing that.
The media are making a lot of it being an advantage playing the 2nd leg at home. Is it really? I like the idea of playing at home first. “Get the runs on the board and bat them out of the game” as my mate Sir Geoffrey says
Onwards and upwards…. B)
19 April 2014 at 10:41 pm #130049It’s an advantage for me if they play the second leg at home.
I can go away the week before.
20 April 2014 at 12:00 am #130050Majority of prem games he played in he was way too slow like i said hes a great championship player
20 April 2014 at 1:05 am #130051Majority of prem games he played in he was way too slow like i said hes a great championship playerLet’s just enjoy watching him for the rest of the season.
Whether he is here or not next season we have seen the best of him this year and no matter what shit he got from the crowd he always bounced back and gave 100%.
A great footballer from the same mould as Jeff Wright and Kevin Langley, but a lot better.20 April 2014 at 1:48 am #130052So people now accept that he’s a good Championship player.
For some, that alone is a great step forward!
20 April 2014 at 2:17 am #1300533 Premier League hat-tricks.
Henri Camara
Marcus Bent
???????????If scoring a hat-trick is not proof enough that a player is worthy of the division, then what is?

It’s the energy “running around” and closing down that makes the difference – the final piece of the jigsaw. When you consider all the loanees who’ve played and contributed very little, Rog was a breath of fresh air yesterday and the performance of the whole siide was lifted.
Leave the fancy passing to Mr Gomez who was also excellent yesterday as was young James.
Best league performance of the season for me. :)[/quote]
Yes, leave the fancy passing to Gomez, but passing to one of your own players should be a prerequisite for any player. He ran like f’ck yesterday, but what’s the point of running and tackling when 50% of the time you give it back to the opposition. Reading were poor, so he got away with it.
Realistically, if McCann or Watson were fit, Espinoza wouldn’t start. He deosn’t retain possession well enough for either Martinez or Rosler’s liking.
20 April 2014 at 3:43 am #130055To be honest the championship is poor and if our chairman hadnt gone for the cheap option at the start we would of walked this league

But some just fail to grasp the concept :silly:
