But he’d spent his prime years at Man Utd & Bradford before possibly playing for Wigan. I think it was about 9 years ago when he may have played, if indeed he did.
Also, Andy Griffin was born in Wigan and enjoyed a successful career playing for Newcastle & Stoke in the premiership. I think the closest he came to wearing a Wigan shirt was when he swapped his for one at the end of a game against his home town side.

How many Wigan born players have EVER played for England at football?
No need to go as far as England. How many Wigan-born players have represented their home-town side in the past 5 years?
Just a couple more and we will have the full set
The bites arrive, 10 thousand locked out side , and still a prick from springfield keeps coming on here shouting the odds saying that rugby is the best thing since sliced bread ,todays international in the heart land of RL, 20 minutes drive from Wigan, Warrington,ST HELENS, Widnes, played at Leigh Sports Village a crowd of 5698,I would take that has a pinch of salt    Simple game for simple minds. :D :D :D

I find them to be really bitter and as for wii fat i have noticed he as been lurking a lot recently but not posting until now. you should be glad that the mods on here are not over zealous to w@nk staines fans like they are on the forum of lies and delusion to latics fans ;)

Makes me laugh how they have managed to turn the argument around from my original post about the amount of fans from outside wigan who support the chubbies

The best way to answer that is to ask LeytherMatt on RL fans. He works at the the ticket office.
Ask him the percentage of fans from outside the borough WN who have season tickets. I’m sure he will have the information, and as his user names suggests will in no way be biassed.

as posters on here know i am not from wigan i live in leyland. when i started watching the latics back in 1982 there was not many out of towners who watched latics. there as all ways been a lot more people from out side wigan who follow the rugby team then the tics and that is fact!
I see an outstanding Wigan talent in Sam Tomkins scored four tries against the French tonight.
I also noted there were no Wigan youngsters in the England foosball team that failed to beat America.
Do they play foosbal in America, they really don’t care about it.
When did a Wigan born player last play for England at foosball?
I know Peggy Melling, but she was from Billinge.
How come we can produce Rugby players (both codes) athletes and swimmers or do they just swim up the Leeds Liverpool canal or run along the A58?
