I see an outstanding Wigan talent in Sam Tomkins scored four tries against the French tonight.
I also noted there were no Wigan youngsters in the England foosball team that failed to beat America.

Do they play foosbal in America, they really don’t care about it.

When did a Wigan born player last play for England at foosball?
I know Peggy Melling, but she was from Billinge.

How come we can produce Rugby players (both codes) athletes and swimmers or do they just swim up the Leeds Liverpool canal or run along the A58?

Thankyou – an answer at last. So the last local lad to represent his club and country was in early 1995.

Although I would have expected someone who claims to have supported WAFC for 32 years to be able to have come up with a name.

Sorry for the late response but I was out yesterday watching 3 local lads playing for their town within 21 hours after playing for their country.

How about the fact that as our national sport, football has a lot more players from the whole of the UK playing it.

There are roughly 1.8 million kids/young adults vying for 600 professional football spots (0.0003 or 1 in 3000) – I won’t even get into the foreign input that makes the chances even slimmer.

Compare that to 3,000 going for 350 places (0.12 or 1 in 8 players)

                    Or does that not matter…..

My figures are totally made up, but you get the point

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

                    #37372

and of course, crowds are fantastic for the world’s most famous cup competition in the world’s most popular sport:

                    5519
                    5335

and therefore based on the made-up figures above, the crowds should be much higher.

Have you totally ignored my last post Mutty?

Also, who was the last Sunderland player to play for England? I know who it is….
