I think the mods will sack you off if you put one foot wrong . you club makes my skin crawl and if it was down to me you would be gone from here faster then you could say pie barm 8-)
You tell him BOB… If you dare to go on their site you get banned as soon as something that can be deemed as negative to the fat whale gets said.
I haven’t tried (yet)… But have been told!
horc told me he went on there but didn’t last long but he really hates them. I guess you have to be really subtle, there is no point me even bothering as I would last 1 post

18 June 2010 at 3:09 pm #37833–“:39s9ditc]To counter a few arguments made on here, I went to Abraham Guest, and we played a lot more football than rugbyNice try (pun fully intended).
Rugby v football schools when I was a youth went something like this:
Rugby:
Deanery
Whitley
John Fisher
Up Holland (Rugby Union)
St Peters
Rose Bridge
Golbourne
Standish
All schools in LeighFootball:
Abraham Guest
Shevington
All schools in Ashton Schools(Mesnes High was predominantly known for burglary)
So it doesn’t really redress the balance does it?

What about Hindley schools

Mornington and Park high football18 June 2010 at 3:34 pm #37836What about Hindley schoolsCardinal Newman thugby
Mornington and Park high footballHow could I have forgotten Mornington in Ingley? It was the scene of my finest moment on a football pitch.
A Saturday morning in 1983, about two minutes into the game, the Mornington goalkeeper takes a goal kick, and the ball bounces once, then sticks in mud on the halfway line right in from of me. I take one step, and toe-bung it as hard as I can, and it sails over the keeper and into the net.
I celebrate wildly with the rest of the team (I usually played centre half and had never scored before), and their PE teacher/coach shouts ‘Come on lads, that was a fluke. You can beat this lot.’
He was right. We lost 7-1, and I got railroaded by my dad for letting their midfield run rings round me.
I remember it as if it was only yesterday….
18 June 2010 at 4:31 pm #37838I always thought that when people stated that most of the thugby fans are from out of town a bit of a myth .No longer the case what I witnessed today dropping a relative off at the train station at 5:10 toneet all platforms were swamped with the sods heading for Prston and the North and heading Warrington and the South also a shed full on the scouse express as well are their any from Wigan 8-)
They come from the North East to THA KNOWS http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=460322

Staying at Marus Bridge is it Mutty
18 June 2010 at 6:02 pm #37846Well countered but what about the original question ?Feck knows! Nobody I go with gets to Wigan on the train, so I can’t really comment. Personally I don’t have a problem with people from out of town supporting us. Every penny counts the same so I’m not bothered where the fans come from

When i went there we played football then union then league!
Mr Herron by any chance? He did try to get us playing union a few times but 99% of us hated it so he gave up after a while  Can’t comment on other schools, but in the banter I’ve had with some Latics supporting mates who went to Fisher, they’ve never said anything about footy being frowned on

Mr lyons19 June 2010 at 1:01 am #37897Now here’s the real myth.
The football World Cup is a great spectacle and England are a great football team.Overpaid, over-hyped prima donnas.
I’ve been better entertained in 5 minutes by the likes of Farrell, Radlinski, Boston and Tomkins.

When was it that England didn’t even qualify for the football world Cup?
At least when we get beat it’s by the best..
America, Algeria one goal, Wayne “thanks for the boos” boys Rooney.
Overhyped and overpaid.
But don’t worry the super dooper premier league with 80% foreigners will soon be here to boar us to death. And the emperors new clothes, sheep followers will be in awe.
Watch the Wigan v Saints game on Sunday and you will more heart and passion from both sides (regardless of who wins) than any of that football cr@p England have provided v America or Algeria.
