He bloody well should be!! He should of been there before the Forest game, I’m not liking the way things are being done at the club at the mo and the blame starts at the top and I’m probably Sharpies only fan.I think Barrow is going after the statement from Sharp about him taking over at a difficult time and the players playing for him YES ok but were still get beat every week rant over.
3 May 2017 at 3:18 pm #158612The new manager IS in the stands, or you want him to be?
3 May 2017 at 6:31 pm #158626Won’t be Michael Brown. He’s been appointed Port Vale boss.
3 May 2017 at 11:21 pm #158633Well if Graham Jones is in the stands Sunday with whelan and sharpie that will give the whole club and fans a huge lift.
Yes my choice he knows Whelan and the whole club well. His heart is Wigan Athletic perfect choice for me he won’t come cheap as the other applicants but look where that’s got us so sensible investment I think.

What experience as a manager has he had to make him the perfect choice?. Can we afford another Joyce type fook up?. Sorry 78 but I hope your wrong lad we need a guy not just with experience but someone who will let us be more forward minded. We cannot have another season as disjointed as this has been we need an upturn a fresh approach. My personal preference would be a guy who has done it at league 1 level and who would consider the job as his biggest yet.

Nigel Pearson.
4 May 2017 at 12:59 am #158637Rather have a manager who Wigan Athletic means something to him rather than a well there’s money here see what they can do for my career man who isn’t particularly bothered if it doesn’t work out.
Graham Jones has premier league and international experience knows and gets on with Whelan. Admittedly its a very difficult job to take on if he is genuinely ambitious about first team management could it work very well for all parties?

He is a no2 so he has no experience whatsoever as a manager. And Wigan Athletic mean everything to me and have done all my life I have a longer affiliation to the club than Grahame but it doesn’t make me an ideal candidate for the job. We need a ready made manager not another risk.
4 May 2017 at 2:34 am #158639Keith Hill from Dale could do the job.
4 May 2017 at 3:21 am #158642I’d like the bloke from Lincoln to get the job
4 May 2017 at 1:35 pm #158645I agree with Nuneaton. We need an experienced head who will come in and re-shape the club from top to bottom. He needs to be given the full reigns and backed by the board.
Our last two appointments have supposedly been for the long term but we have reverted back to the early Whelan days of wanting instant success and that has left the club in a right mess. The new man needs the same backing that Paul Jewell was given. Bring in his own men, sign his own players and more importantly link the academy and first teams together to allow us to find the next Bainesy or those before him.
4 May 2017 at 3:02 pm #158656Paul Jewell
4 May 2017 at 4:38 pm #158661Chris Hutchings
4 May 2017 at 4:43 pm #158662Paul Jewell type football like he played in league one and the championship to take us up but Paul may have been away too long.
4 May 2017 at 6:12 pm #158664What about Alexander at Scunthorpe?
