The time for excuses is over.

    Brentford (18/10) Millwall (21/10) Fulham (1/11).

We need to win all 3. Absolute minimum 2 wins and a draw.

No more talk about “playing better” or “building for the future”…it’s time to deliver.

If we are in the bottom 3 after 1/11, Herr Swappenchange has to go.

Rant over….so who doesn’t agree?

NB Those are the dates, not the odds for us…Fulham aren’t that bad are they?

Agree Leyland 9 points are a must but the way things are panning out this season they will be far from guaranteed.
Much better driving now Longmeanygate is open. That was a right pain for over a year.

        Totally disagree
Nobody gets relegated in November and things will turn believe me – they have done already
        Unbeaten in two games
Too much emphasis has been placed on getting back to the premier league in my opinion and that has fed through to the manager and players which is ridiculous when the club is in a transitional period.
We will not get relegated but sack the present staff and we might be and a change wouldn’t improve anything- we would still have an oversized squad and the new lads like De lort and company would still be settling in.

        Stop talking sense, Vince.

Don’t you know that this board is the home of mass hysteria – oh, and future Championship-level football managers?

I get your point, but how long does a transitional period take and do you ever get to the goal of winning games on a regular basis, if you are constantly changing the team, formation etc?.

Apart from a core of about 3 players, the rest don’t know if they are playing from week to week, even if they play well when selected.
If I am performing well in my job, I would be totally miffed if my boss says well done mate, done the business there, but I’m bringing Fred Bloggs in next week in your place, take a break sunshine.

Rosler has had long enough to sort his team and formation out, if you say he still needs time, then what a fekin idiot for playing the likes of Chow, Jennings, Holt even Tavernier in the pre-season friendlies when he had no intention of them featuring in the starting 11.
The mentality of some of the players could be, fek it if I play well I’ll still get dropped, why bother. [yes even on their massive pay packets]. There has been unrest in the dressing room, even Whelan had to go in before the Forrest game and give um a pep talk, jeesh!

IMO, we need to get promoted this season, the team is slowly but surely becoming a distant memory from the one that kept us in the prem for all those years.
I can only see us going down the same route as Leeds, Forrest, Portsmouth etc
OK Whelan balances the books and what a magnificent job he’s done, but it’s no good if the manager doesn’t get the best from his squad, no-one will dispute that he is categorically not getting the best from this squad at the moment.
If we don’t get up this season, the likes of Maloney, Ramis, McLean, McManaman will probably want to move on and so the memories of the premier league will go fainter and fainter.

I for one didn’t want us to get relegated from the prem, some on here hoped we would, i wonder what they are thinking now?.
What’s the point of being the most affluent club and having the best training facilities, in League two.

So IMO he does need to start winning games, the honeymoon period is over, we have the best squad in this division, even other managers recognise that fact, so what is going wrong? Only Uwe and his players can answer that.

how long does a transitional period take in football ianything from 6 to 18 months with constant buying and selling of players in that period or change of manager could add a further length of time

            #133965

            Well said JR…

To those who have questioned our return to the Premier League…WTF do we play the game for if it isn’t to try to gain a higher status?

Every season we don’t get back into the PL it gets harder given the parachute payments et al.

DW and JJ have stated it’s the aim to get back to the PL…so who is doubting that on here?

I think Southampton might just blow that argument out the water. Raped of all your best players one minute, bring in a set of new ones, 4th off bottom? don’t think so.

There is nobody that wants Uwe to get us going like he did last season more than me, FFS he took a team of no hoper’s and with minimum time and changes, got um in the play offs and a whisker from the play off final.

His record for the last 20 odd games doesn’t make good reading at all, so lets stop burying our heads in the sand and realise that he needs to get a settled team and a settled formation. I’m almost at that stage where I’m not bothered what that settled team my be, two fekin goalies in the starting 11 if he wants, but stick by them.
Just ask yourself thirty, what was wrong with the team that beat Birmingham? What was wrong with that team who stood toe to toe with Forrest? I’ll tell you absolutely nothing, but on top of one forced change, he goes and makes another 3 or 4.
I may be wrong, but for me, he appears more concerned about keeping a massive squad happy, than he is about picking his best team and sticking with them over a sustained period. What an absolute travesty that is. :(

                Yes on both counts.

A lunatic trying to escape the Police crashed into that house on the corner. Half wrecked it. Killed himself in the process. The home owners were criticised for not getting the repairs done….they were waiting for the council FFS.

Before anyone asks, he was not a “boy racer” he was 54 years old.

So I take it that your happy with 4th from bottom after 11 games? fair play to you if you are.
I’m not, but still feel he can turn it around if he stops dabbling with the pishing team. That’s all my point his, my glass is still half full, but the heads rapidly disappearing.
