25 January 2017 at 1:04 am #154560I can not find anything about why Nob End don’t get the full allocation. There won’t be a block of 700 empty seats at OT on Sunday and fans are in the same stand.
Who cares?
25 January 2017 at 1:10 am #154561Desperate times need desperate measures and oversized squads with overpaid players need to be financed. We get nowt from beer and pie sales and nowt from stadium sponsorship or stadium advertising so we need money in every way we can get it or ticket prices will rise.Donny are you a ST holder?
Fuck the EFL
25 January 2017 at 1:18 am #154562I don’t have a season ticket as I miss some games in spring and autumn but I will probably have paid more into the coffers than season ticket holders. I sit in many different seats. Don’t think I have sat in my ticketed seat more than half a dozen times.
25 January 2017 at 1:20 am #154563I’m afraid I can’t take anyone seriously if they resort to calling a team Nob End.Nobbers – How old are you? Twelve??
As for the East Stand giving up their seats. No chance. Most ridiculous suggestion I’ve heard for years.
Bollocks to the money. Why would you want to increase Prestons support anyway? I’d be more concerned giving out free tickets to the local schools to increase our support.
Argus, were you born in 69 ? That’s after PNE were christened Knob End, so I’m afraid it’s here to stay.
Second point: I wouldn’t give them Lilywhite cryers any fookin tickets, cos they’d only bleat on about how “they brought 8,000 to our place”. They still bang on about it from about 1993 ( after they’ve filled my ears with Tom Finney this, Tom Finney that ).
25 January 2017 at 1:33 am #154564Who is that Tom bloke you’re on about Al? Selective memory those Nob Enders.
They remember almost filling the East Stand but they forget about the times they brought a few. They remember crowds at Deep shite when they have over 20k on due to allowing huge away followings in the Kop but don’t mention two games this season having less than 10k on for league games.
They can’t remember winning the cup though as it’s so long ago. Never mention playing in Europe.25 January 2017 at 1:37 am #154565I don’t agree with this suggestion having a good seat with a great view in the East Stand but I do know quite a few clubs do do it to accommodate extra away fans ie Man Utd. This is copied from their Season Ticket Terms and Conditions…..
20. Due to the rules, regulations and requirements of the competitions in which the Club participates, the Club
cannot guarantee that the Ticket Holder’s usual allocated seat will be available for every home cup match.
Ticket Holders in the following areas of the Stadium are at greater risk of being relocated than others: (i) East
Stand Tier 2 (as the current location for away fans in the corner between the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand and
the East Stand, may not be sufficient to accommodate the away fans’ ticket entitlement for a cup match); (ii)
Sir Bobby Charlton Stand and Sir Alex Ferguson Stand Tier 2, Blocks 3401 and 4401 (to accommodate
additional media and commercial partner requirements for UEFA competitions); (iii) the front two rows of
East Stand Lower, West Stand Lower and the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand Block N1407 (as advertising boards
used for cup matches may be larger than those used for league matches); and (iv) West Stand, Block W209
(to accommodate additional television camera positions)25 January 2017 at 1:51 am #154566I don’t agree with this suggestion having a good seat with a great view in the East StandCome on Phil, you know it makes sense financially, you could come in the West Stand with us for a change and the club makes a few bob more.

I’m only 54, I’m not going in there with the coffin dodgers! :)
25 January 2017 at 2:28 am #154574Just seen on a tweat and Nob End have been given a FULL allocation of 4700 seats.
I must be missing something here as the North and South Stands both hold 5400 so why the reduced capacity. 700 x £25 would come in handy for our club so what is going on and why?The 700 seat shortfall is because the front 3 or 4 rows and the 1/2 column to the east of the stand are secured from use by netting for security reasons. I can’t ever see them changing the policy on that for a local derby.

Security reasons??? Who made up that pile of shite. So for eight years in the Premier League it wasn’t required and the first season back in the Championship not required. Something wrong here somehow! So how is it that this is not required at Old Trafford or Anfield or Nob End even. Fans at Wigan are in separate stands!!! This smells of the goings on at Springfield Park!!!
25 January 2017 at 12:08 pm #154579Maybe it what happens when your fans cant stay off the pitch
25 January 2017 at 12:26 pm #154580I don’t recall 3 or 4 rows of advertising when Newcastle came to town?

So if they are never going to be used then take the feckers out.
