I notice that we have only been allocated 3086 tickets for this fixture! I would like to think that we have made a mockery of this small allocation and sold out already!
13 September 2018 at 12:28 am #171719I would have thought more than 1700 would have been snapped up by Season Ticket Holders – if I remember correctly its about 17 miles to Preston.

13 September 2018 at 11:00 am #171721Cheaper than any home fixture to date too. It will be a sell out but dont think many more than the ticket allocation though.
13 September 2018 at 11:24 am #171722Is there an additional allocation if the 3K sell out? Its a good while since I went to Preston, and the last time I was there, the whole end behind the goal was available for visitors.
13 September 2018 at 12:41 pm #171723Jeesus, we have games before then all available tickets will be taken up no sweat.
13 September 2018 at 12:58 pm #171725We’d sold over 1700 on Monday, meaning we had just short of 3 weeks to sell the remaining 1300. Why the flap?

Its a good while since I went to Preston, and the last time I was there, the whole end behind the goal was available for visitors. The usual allocation is 3000ish but clubs can be given the whole stand like you say, which ups the allocation to 6,000.
Whilst your post is no doubt a little dig at Latics with a “look how many we took” comment, every man & his dog knows that Latics will not take 6,000 to an away league game & never have doneLatics have said its an “initial allocation” so I’m sure there’s room for a few more if the demand is there
In comparison, Bolton (who never get any stick for their support or away followings) got 3800 tickets & didn’t sell them before the deadline so pay on the gate was allowed
It’s no wonder other clubs give us stick about our following when some of our own supporters are just as ready to do it – even 3 weeks ahead of a game13 September 2018 at 3:47 pm #171727Muttywhitedog is more interested in the goings on at Wigan Athletic rather than team he claims he supports. As usual he was looking for a bite and got one.

13 September 2018 at 11:50 pm #171737They wouldn’t take any to Preston you fool. Why would they?
Sometimes Egg, you really do shoot yourself in the foot. Why drag a different sport into it, or is it just to impress your mates?
Check the thread fellas – I wasn’t the one who started it by expressing surprise that it hadn’t sold out. Nor was I the one making a dig at the price of tickets. All I did was mention that I was surprised it had gone to general sale so quickly after 1700 ST holders had bought their tickets.

If they ever played there of course which you well know was what I meant. We can compare it to grounds like Leigh and Widnes instead though if you like where they have failed to sell allocations for cup semi finals?
I will defend both clubs as and when I need to when people from the other side start with the wily waving.
And whilst you didn’t mention it directly you were having a dig because you do it every single time.
14 September 2018 at 12:34 am #171740You gotta catch 2 buses to Leigh though eggy. Long way that.
14 September 2018 at 2:36 am #171746We’ll sell this out no problem.
