Quite a few weeks ago, Barak Obama had a right go at Britain for causing what was their worst ecological disaster ever.

I am obviously not going to forget that 11 lives were lost in this event, but as for catastrophic damage and BP being held to ransom :o

The ‘oil slick’ hit the Gulf coast in Florida and lasted for a total of three days. There is next to no oil left visible and has Obama come out and defended his MASSIVE over eggageration of this ‘disaster’?? No chance

Come on Cameron, get those pesky yanks to show a bit of prospective after the event and admit it was a PR exercise to wain their plummetting support at the polls.

I’m quite sure that well over 11 British soldiers were killed by American ‘Friendly Fire’ during the two Gulf Wars. Ask most Yanks about this, and it never happened.

Quite right Mr Walker, however, let’s not forget their ‘War Effort’ after all they captured the ‘Enigma Cipher Machine’ for us – as depicted in U571. Then saved us in WW2 as it apparently only began in Dec 1941 – as seen in ‘Pearl Harbour’…….etc. Just like their ‘Reds Under the Bed’ television/radio campaign in the 60’s their aim was/is to indoctorate the masses using internal terror and of course the media. They are ‘Revisionists’ and believe that by portraying history through the eye of a camara after a (for the yanks) short period of time, it will become fact for them. With over 350 million of them burning more than 40% of the worlds resources serious questions have to be asked about their future intentions – special relationship? (My Arris)

They are an insidious breed, them yanks, and having worked with them ‘professionally’ (on and off over my previous life) their self righteousness in this world beggars belief.

Here’s a conundrum…….. Who are the ‘real’ terrorists in this world – are they the ‘illuminati’, and (cough) where are they based.

Deep, radical (and researched) thought needed here.

Maybe we should remind the Americans who bankrupt the world in the last 2 years….. Sub prime mortgages etc….

And Mr Obama how dare you ask for an appology for releasing the Lockerby bomber. Imagine parliment asking their justice minister to come over and explain Guantanamo bay !

Me too, and forget their self-righteousness, the over-riding impression I have of Yanks is that they are very loud and extremely thick.

Oh, and if you repeatedly say “no really, thank you” when one of them says “you’re welcome” after you have initially said “thank you”, you can have them stuck there for days.

It’s music to my eyes this thread. Great posts all. I’d love to throw my 2 penneth in but i’d have CIA swarming all over my house in minutes.

safe to say though i hope one day in my lifetime a British Prime minister is brave enough to end this ‘special relationship’.

Truth is, whether you like to accept it or not, without the Americans in WW2, we’d have been in trouble. No, seriously! Hitler was on our doorstep and on the verge of invading when the USA came into the war in 1941, and by the time the majority of GI’s shipped over here in ’42 and ’43, we were stretched to the core. Don’t forget, we were, and still are, a tiny, island nation. We had our army fighting on several different fronts, in Europe, Africa, and the Far East. For us to fight the combined might of the Nazi’s, and the Japanese Imperial Army, was a bloody big ask. In fact, Pearl Harbour was probably the best thing that could of happened to us, as it brought the Yanks into the war.
Add to that, Hitler’s mistake of taking on the Russians at the same time as us and the Yanks, and it was a massive mistake. His forces were so stretched. He simply took too much on.
I will say though, that the MODERN DAY American is a different breed, as is the modern day Brit, to that of the ‘Greatest Generation’. I have met some American veterans who parachuted into Normandy on D-Day, and I have the same respect for them, as I do our own veterans.

My response to Mr Walker et al was not a illicitation for a chronology of events leading to who did what and when in the Second World War – believe it or not it is well documented and opinons on cause and effect have varied ever since – I will not be lectured on recent military history. Unlike those who read of their exploits I am one of the ‘unfortunate’ few who have had to endure, with them, some of them.

Further, you have missed my point by a country mile chap, as you have rightly or wrongly referred, certain facts remain – we are British and have no need to change our history, however, I wll say again…..they are a breed of ‘Revisionists’ who through the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s tried to tell anyone who would listen that it was their world and they are the true saviours – they also terrorised their own people with frightening and totally inappropriate propaganda.

They have only one aim in this world and that is to protect their own self interests – wherever that may be.

Their hierachy is weak and policy is dictated by the super rich (Illuminati) and it is my view that these will be the people who will create world unrest in the future.

We need look no further than the fact that their ‘chosen one’ states that in the openess and freedom of religion within their country he will not stop or get in the way of a mosque being built within sight/near to ‘Ground Zero’.

What a great way to stir up and fan the hatred flames against those who perpetrated that abomination….. what a great way (with minimum collateral damage) to stir up civil unrest to futher their aims.

‘Modern Day’ you say….I wouldn’t trust one as far as Mr Walker and Griff could throw one.

I wouldn’t trust one of them to sit the right way on the John, as they would say. Thick bast@rds, the lot of ’em.

One of them once told me how lucky I was living in England because, if I wanted to, I could take a leisurely boat trip to Israel for the weekend. Why I would do this, I can’t answer. How I would do this, I am struggling with even more.

As I say, not the brightest offices in the UN building.

A mate from Bolton was in a club in New York a few ago and a native says ‘Jeez, you’re a big guy. Where you from?’

Big A from Bolton thinks ‘They won’t have heard of Bolton’ so he says ‘Manchester’.

The American gets all excited and asks ‘Manchester, New Jersey? That’s where I grew up?’

Big A puts says it’s in England and the American replies ‘There’s a Manchester in England? England’s in London, right?’

Big A mutters ‘Thick f*cking Yank’ under his breath and walks away.
