It was similar getting to Preston, not much fun but a hell of a lot better than going t’other road so I hear your pain.

I’m not really glass half empty either, I’m reasonably pleased, as I think we all should be. You get games like Saturday, if we’d have scored early it would probably have been a sackful

Young Tez is very much a fine young chap and a good little player, who hopefully is going to be a good mix of what we like. If anything he needs to toughen up a bit like Mr Perkins!

My son, who is also a fine chap may I say, was a bit annoyed at me for criticising Wildschut on Saturday.

He has certainly been stunning in a few games, but I am not quite sure he is the Messiah. Against Bradford he was pretty well marked out (although that did give Perkins, Jacobs and Power space to move) and although fast against Swindon I was disappointed in the finish a tad at times.

Is he a good player? Yes of course
Should we try to get a permanent deal? Yes – and we have a good chance with him being here
Is he the solution to every problem in the World? No
Should we (as I have seen said on various social networking sites) “break the bank” to get him? My own view is no. One player is not the answer -we are doing so well because we have a team all pulling together. I would like to see him perform time and time and time again.

And I do realise that this is two threads in a row that I’ve (sort of) agreed with Tez – I promise it won’t happen again.

Woooooaaahhhh!! Hold on there horsey. You having a bad morning Standish?

I didn’t say everyone had the viewpoint I describe, but it’s known Latics fans in general like a Perkins over a Gomez, if anything you agree with me that there’s room for grit players and flair. Some just seem to go overboard (imo) on how great a player Perkins is.

The pass and move of Swindon was superb I thought, when they did it. They won’t be bottom 2 for long.

The Wildschut one is all my own prediction, it’ll be either right or wrong but he strikes me that he’ll be in and out rather than all the time.

As for the last post you made, I’d say your stepping over the mark a bit.

It’s easy to make statements like that AFTER the game. If I’m wrong fair enough, but did you think that or post that after his first couple of games for us and if not, why now? Are you simply reacting to two mediocre performances?

As for your two palace mates, they sure know how to pull your pisser!

YEah! I had to take a double take and a rebound off the keeper when I saw that you were agreeing with TEZH in 2 threads. I was on the verge of asking TMO and the 4th Official.

BTW …… why oh why does no one ever respond to my postings? It seems as if I usually close them down. Clearly not enough in training.

Oh aye … In the long run, the best shoes are good. Ah hah, just thought …… my life is like a penis, quite relaxed and simple. It’s just my wife that makes it hard. She got mad with me when I put some Nutella on my salmon; we both got salmonella.

You must admit though George, he looks very much like Macmanaman with a brain. Even when mediocre, his markers have looked rather worried when he gets the ball and wishes at that point, that he was a team mate.

If he does nowt but distracts two defenders, in order to keep allowing Jacobs and co a free run to the box, that will be job done.

I do think we should sign him, John, it’s just that we shouldn’t bankrupt the club or spend all our budget on one player – which is what some people are saying on social media.

Mind you – I did have to laugh at one comment (not Wildschut related) by a lad whose profile is full of Latics badges and photos of himself in various Latics’ kit poses – who posted on Saturday “Oh – I didn’t realise we were at home today”.

Sorry you’ve lost me again. It’s a prediction for the rest of his loan period, I just don’t think he’ll be as good as what he should be in that period. How I can be called as after timing when he could score in every game from now until that loan is up only you can answer. I hope I’m wrong it’s just a feeling.
As for the two Palace mates you’re making things up again, who said there were 2?

Isn’t it also funny that someone has to make two consecutive posts to try and get a point over, you must be all of a dither.
Doesn’t matter how many Palace fans watched the game, they have convinced you that Swindon looked a better team when in possession, yet they only had one shot on target, that’s if you call hitting the post on target, the stats say not. I will side with the all the latics fans I’ve spoke to after the game on this, rather than listen to some Palace fans on the wind up.
Does better in possession, not mean creating chances or doing something positive whilst on the ball?
Apart from a 10 minute spell, Wigan looked head and shoulders above a piss poor team looking very low in confidence. You can also tell the palace fans that’s probably our worst performance in 6-7 games.

                  Swindon better in possession FFS….

I’m clueless about football egh? lets run a poll and ask all the posters who is the clueless one.
You change direction more than the wind and have to resort to name calling like a little kid when people disagree with you or challenge your often pathetic posts.

So thinking that latics looked far the better team in possession than Swindon makes me clueless. Look at the match stats again and try to convince me that they where the “nicer footballing team”.

Perhaps the palace fans thought that the Swindon players had nicer legs, nicer haircuts or nicer kit.

Excellent signing. Was pleased when we signed him as I rated him when he played against us. Certainly up there as our player of the year so far.
