If there was ever a thread that proved that this web site is filled with bitter, sad, lonely balding middle aged men then this is it.
The contradictions from you ‘hardened Latics fans’ are laughable. You take the piss out of the rugby for the exact same things the football does.
Difference…. The Cherry and White board doesn’t do football hate threads because they aren’t jealous of Wigan Athletic like this board is of the Warriors.

I think you will find Yosser that most forums are on the decline has more people use other media outlets to vent there frustration on all things football like twitter and the like to try and blame it on Griff is your personal choice but I don’t think it is myself

It will be a fair few. You were always witty and humorous even on the old CL which was fine but i am sure many will agree, Over the past 2 years or so it has become too malicious. It all stemmed from when there was a pro/anti Martinez divide. We know you rated him, Probably because he is a nice chap and you met him quite a few times and wouldn’t hear a bad word against him or his ethics. I think that is why you started getting so defensive and aggressive. Thats the last i will say on it and bid you a farewell again for now.

Only 3 Yosser? I can name at least 6 & probably not include 3 you have in mind.
A few points from a casual observer would be that, Griff does generally have a point of view and he doesn’t normally give up on it, whether he be right or wrong in your opinion is what makes the debate. It normally descends into name calling when one or both can’t get the upper hand. Playground stuff.
To say people are driven away from a site because of one person is bonkers and only something being used to fuel your own arguments. It let’s you down.Generally speaking there are only a few people on here with the intelligence to understand banter, have debate and use the winky things in the right place. Those people will know who they are.
Previously this board was fuller because it was the only real Latics fans site, the sort of fans who bought the fanzine and shared the same sort of twisted humour. That isn’t the case anymore as we all know. Sometimes it was a bit insular, everybody on here knew each other and any ‘outsider’ would be initiated by a series of multiposters. Now the site is a lot more open and there can be a debate, without Parakeetsbestfriend and his mates squawking all over it. It’s up to you which version you liked best. I used to cringe at some of the posters replying to wind up merchants but it seems they’re safe, at least for the time being.
Me, I only come on here because it took my 12 years to get a password to work and the other sites have bigger bell ends than Griff on them! :cheer:

That was probably the case for me and LMB falling out, but all that has been put to bed. At least he can spot a wind-up when he sees one.
My aggression on this forum usually came from some other people’s inability to form a decent argument on many issues, not just the Martinez issue. On that particular subject though, many people could never manage anything more coherent than “Martinez is a useless Spanish prick” and that was the sort of post that would get my back up and end up with me launching from both barrels.
Anyway, those on this forum that do know me will tell you my real persona bears little resemblance to the one displayed on here. I met a bloke I used to play football with over ten years ago at a funeral last week and he said something along the lines of “you’re a piss-taking bastard on that Cockney Latic, they don’t know you very well, do they?”
Still, as I said yesterday, it’s probably time for a new leaf to be turned. I probably have gone too far with some of the stuff I have said. However, I still seriously doubt that anyone has left this site because of me, but if they have, then more fool them and it really says more about them than it does me, as someone else has already said.
