Just a few points from this particular footballing genius:
1) Lopez looked good
2) Stam was our best outlet till shackled midway through 2nd
3) Jones played well
4) Al Habsi dropped a bollock for their first
5) Admittedly there weren’t many options on the bench capable of turning the game round but was there really any point in bringing McManaman on with 23 seconds to go??
Agreed we played great and the better football for 65 minutes but the 2nd goal killed us really. No arguments it was a great strike. Will wait to see MOTD before commenting on the first goal.
Should we have had a pen for the foul on Gomez?
On balance of play though 2-0 really flattered them.
Agree we played well, particularly up until the first goal, and the 2-0 score really flattened the current EPL champions. Agree about Lopez and Jones doing well, as did Stam, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say he was our best outlet owing to some of his crosses being a wee bit wayward. Not 100% sure too if I could blame Al Habsi for the first goal as in fairness, although he didn’t keep hold of the first shot, he did very well to deflect the second. Just a massive shame that Kone couldn’t have converted some of his chances and maybe we would have got something we deserved.

part time are you joking how do you expect me to go when i am 200 miles away did you go justhow many away games have you been to this season did you go to tots are you going to norwich i am see you there then will i
Played well
Kone should have hit the target with his header, Maybe
Habit should have held the 1st, maybe
Penalty, maybe actually no chance
Most ridiculous substitution ever, Calum should have told him to took off
No – There was some contact in there, but not all contact in football is a foul as people’s legs/arms/bodies naturally clash
On top of that Gomez didn’t go over till well after any contact was made
Lemur – I’d blame Ali for the 1st coz although he did well to get to the 2nd shot, the 1st one should have presented no problem to him but he spilt it. He then came out to collect the loose ball & in that situation a keeper should just steam & take out ball/defenders/attackers but he didn’t, he hesitated (possibly coz Lopez was in his way) & Balotelli got the ball.
He’s saved Latics often enough like so hope they’re exceptions to the rule & don’t become more frequent
Two blunders in two games ! First game he was spared his blushes but not this time ! No pressure on him from the bench so he should sleep easy in his bed tonight !
Do you honestly believe he didn’t hold the shot because there’s no comp for his place or the power of the shot just squirmed ou his reach, not every goaly saves ever shot, holds every effort or catches every cross, just like a striker doesn’t convert every chance.
Do you want to list a few more games that you pick and choose part-time Sudworth?
Totally agree Al Habsi should have kept hold of the first shot, but Man City were extremely lucky to get two lucky deflections to them. It was his only error of the match and the majority of the time, the opposition would not have scored as a result and the mistake would have gone unoticed.

A little bit of blind faith creeping in here I see ! That was a crucial mistake and his second in as many games ! I bet Fergie would be making a change over at Utd if their first choice fella did the same but as we don’t actually really have a replacement to pressure Ali then I guess complacency can creep into ones game !

Erm… I believe De Gea made a number of mistakes last season without being replaced…

You must realise that Filmoss tries to wind folk up and obviously you fell for it what fillip knows about football you could write on the back of a postage stamp
