Do you honestly believe he didn’t hold the shot because there’s no comp for his place or the power of the shot just squirmed ou his reach, not every goaly saves ever shot, holds every effort or catches every cross, just like a striker doesn’t convert every chance.
You must realise that Filmoss tries to wind folk up and obviously you fell for it what fillip knows about football you could write on the back of a postage stamp
And still have room for the encyclopaedia brittanica ;)
Played well
Kone should have hit the target with his header, Maybe
Habit should have held the 1st, maybe
Penalty, maybe actually no chance
Most ridiculous substitution ever, Calum should have told him to took off
that’s football for yer.
Hart flaps (again) at Stam (50 yard run and) right-wing cross in first half, Kone’s header a yard over the bar.
Kone puts header wide from 8 yards out in 2nd half (arguably, the key moment – particularly, given City’s much brighter start to 2nd half)
5 minutes later, Ali spills (?) Barry shot, 2 deflections and thank you very much (0-1)!
Fine Margins ….
Callum Mc weekly pay packet based on appearances ?

Well his error tonight certainly cost us ! I like many didn’t expect anything from tonight but with hindsight I feel we should have got something from the game. Not the first time City have benefited from the chosen one who can do no wrong ! ;)

has arky says the smaller ones bite
thought we did play well last night for 60 min then mancini changed game with his subs.Game was stalemate and he changed tactics, were we just plodded on with same game plan even tho wernt working, no plan b.same old storey.Good chance wasted to take summut from this game
Well having watched MOTD I’d have to blame Ali for the first goal.He should have held that first shot really.
The mistake arguably cost us the match. Thats 2 errors in 2 games now. No get out of jail goal this time. But hey he’s saved us many times in the past. B)
Oh and Kone needs heading practice – 2 glaring misses in 2 as well.

I don’t see how we could have changed it too much though with the options we had on the bench. McArthur for Jones to freshen the legs in the middle maybe?

You serious? WUM?
And The Egg.. McArthur for Jones still made no sense as we were 2 goals down and he isn’t a player that can ‘change a game’ so to speak, not when you’re trailing anyway.

Disagree in this instance. McArthur has a forward pass in him (despite what you’ve said on a previous thread), whereas Jones, although he played well, 99 times out of 100 will opt for the square ball or pass backwards.
In McArthur we have a similar type of player to Jones who will keep the centre of the pitch solid but who is more likely to get into an attacking position or play a ball through for someone.
At the end of the day not many of us expected to get anything from the game anyway but Kone and Al Habsi do need to work on some basic things in training ! If Al Habsi hadn’t made that mistake who knows what might have happened ? If anyone is going to take the blame for chucking away 60mins worth of hard graft then it must be the man between the sticks simple as !

Got to be a wind-up, but I’ll bite.
We were holding the current champions nil-nil, and at times were the better team. Mancini went more defensive with his subs and got lucky with a fumble from Ali with the ball eventually put in by a striker who cost more than our entire starting eleven, and then a great shot from well outside the box for their second.
am saying we were the better team till mancini changed it and went for it, were we did not u f* ***
Taking off Aguero (One of the best strikers in the world) and putting on Kolarov (Left Back usually?) isn’t exactly ‘Going for it’ .. They just made a change.
The changes were made to add some width and to drag our defence out wide. This worked because both Barry and Milner had all the time in the World to get their shots in due to the void that was created in the centre ! As for using the words ” Current champions ” it would appear that we don’t accept talk like that any more at this club as this quote from RM states ….”We’re not happy to lose to the champions with a good performance. That is no longer acceptable to this football club. We’re disappointed.”
