      first 5 positives;

      Winning 2-1
      Josh Laurent’s debut goal and good all round performance
      Donervan Daniels,finally getting some game time and looking quite solid
      The performances of Colclough, Merrie, Thomas, Gilby and James
      The state of the pitch [although why did they have to water the fooker]

      Now 5 Negatives;

      The poor defending of set pieces [all night]
      Giving away a scrappy goal
      The queues at the tuck shop despite a gate of only 3,391 albeit all of um being in one stand.

      I can only think of 3. :cheer:

        I can think of more than two more negatives, but a win is a win, and with so many changes and debuts I don’t think it would be right to be too critical.

        The major positive for me was seeing the depth we have.
        Although it wasn’t a great overall performance, I think the majority that played tonight showed as individuals each one of them could probably slot into the first team without weakening it.

        Positives – the price of ale hasn’t increased
        – Cook doesn’t wear shorts

        Negatives – it rained
        – Someone else sat in “my” seat :evil:
        – Cook doesn’t wear a suit

        Seriously though, a win is a win. Accept that the whatsit cup isnt a priority but it could be a useful outlet for trying the fringe players. Good to see DD back…
        Looking forward to Sunday :cheer:

          Positives. Giving fringe players a run out and game time. Seeing Will Grigg get a decent run out. Seeing James get a good run out. Seeing youngsters get a chance. The result. Blackpool’s approach to the game.
          Negatives. A boring Latics formation lacking in attacking ideas reminiscent of much we saw last season.

            Didn’t go because I’m not local at the moment, but pleased to see us win even though we made 11 changes. Less about the result than us actually getting some fringe and returning players a competitive run out. We won, so happy days.

            Really looking forward to Sundays game. I’m loving the way PC is managing us. All very sensible and progressive if you ask me. Can’t complain at all.

            We will win this league….I’m sure.

                    That was one hell of a session that day LHL, I still can’t remember how I got home after you threw me off the train in Euxton.

                    Shocking from the Latics (un)faithful. Glad we don’t get crowds like that on at the rugby. Not even in the lean years where it actually went up circa 2005.

                      That figure was still more than watched the egg clodding world cup final globally.

                      And check your history about attendances and get your facts right.
