Felt quite calm when I got home. Didn’t feel disappointed unlike most home games this season.

There could be a number of reasons for these thoughts….

    1. Expected to lose, so not surprised we did
    2. The performance, albeit in defeat, was far better than most games this season
    3. Accepted relegation is inevitable and past caring

The title of this post sums everything up as it is something we lack right across the pitch and it doesn’t matter how much huff and puff we put in this team is a pale shadow of the one that we had just 12 short months ago.
Yes there was more effort but we looked way off pace and at times you could have drove a bus through our midfield and defence regardless of the usual abject refereeing, a little more fight and effort for 25 minutes or so but we have seen that all season and it just isn’t enough in this division.
this season is dead and buried now as far as I’m concerned just cannot see us making up the required amount of points needed and to be honest we just are not good enough.

Summed up perfectly, we quite simply are not good enough! The squad is a shadow of it’s former self and all this is because since we got relegated we have replaced players that have left with mediocre ( Kind word! ) ones! As in everyday retail you really do get what you pay for and football is no different! The squad at one point was far too big and this was more than likely down to what my Gran used to say ” You buy cheap, you buy twice “! Some will argue that we shouldn’t have gone flashing the cash and that is right, but to scrape the barrel is another thing, especially when there are parachute payments and money from sales! This cloth has been cut accordingly and to me it’s a shame because I did believe that we were more than competent to do battle in this division with the right handling but it clearly has gone badly awry!

McCann’s step over was utter class. It takes some doing the make a total gash of it like that,

Our midfrield stunk rotten. Kvist , the new Roger ?, he and McCann were doubly awful. And what’s with Kvist and the high pitched girlie “Come on !’ Screams ??.
On about one extreme to another. One minute we’ve about 10 midfielders to choose from and in the blink of an eye were lucky to find 2-3 fit or 2-3 that are any good.

Huws out is a massive blow , he’ll be badly missed

No creativity whatsoever in the middle and bereft of any vision .Our only hope is a delve into the loan market because whoever we play up top will be on a starvation diet with the midfield we have at present.I like to think we can still climb the table but not performing like yesterday albeit against an excellent team.

They were excellent because we made them look excellent. We were so ordinary with the ball that anyone could defend against us.The first 60 minutes today was the easiest that Bournemouth would have had all season.Nobody within 10 yards of them. All our tactics were to get behind the ball when they had it. No tactics,no strategy,no game plan or anything to break them down.Just hoping that we could create something with a bit of individual brilliance.Unfortunately the players who could do that have all been sold in the last 6 months and we are left with the dregs that no one wants. It is still possible to get out of it but the manager has to change things to a more attacking formation and go for it instead of waiting for the other team to miss chances or slip up,because we will definitely give the other team a few chances.

Woooahh, slow down there Mr Banana folk will be thinking you’re me

It was inevitable where we would be, losing our creativity and speed and replacing it with bargain basement buys, some of who can’t get in our rivals teams.

I’ve been shouted down for a while on here, when I thought things were plain to see but others thought, somehow, we’d turn a corner with this bunch, now that the ‘deadwood’ (lads who’d won us the FA Cup!) had gone. Who we had left were the 100%ers! :silly: We now have the upheaval of losing a central defender going, why did we bother in such an important position for the sake of 6 weeks?

How can Malky keep his job, looking at past history of our manager tenures?
Couldn’t get a good squad to win and certainly won’t win many with ‘his’ team.
Dave Whelan’s pig headedness is the only reason he’s still here.

No doubt I’ll get the ‘it’s not Malkys fault’ brigade on my case but yesterday he left out Waghorn. In my opinion our best player together with Kvist who took an age to get in the team himself. Why?

Next up Forest with their new manager 1 played 1 won

Even easier than their 8-0 rout at Birmingham ? Or maybe we could have been 2-0 up having McClean hit the bar from his free kick and no one on the end of a pass across the six yard box all in the first fifteen minutes ?

It used to be there, just it’s been ground down by Coyle and MCKay, with some interference from Herr Rosler.

The only way is up Phil. Surely we can’t drop below Blackpool :S

                        Yes quality, or lack of.

If I was Pearce I’d be a mightily disappointed not to be starting in front of Barnett.

Frigin hell, I am morbidly obese and I am “disappointed not to be starting in front of Barnett”

I can’t believe some are claiming Bournemouth are ordinary or we allowed them to play by not getting stuck in or closing them down, we have played them twice this season and lost both but they have won on 15 other occasions scoring 57 goals against teams other than us, are people suggesting that all the other teams stood off them.

Bournemouth played the perfect game yesterday, their passing and movement was superb, on most occasions every player in there side when the ball was at his feet had three options of what to do with the ball, they defended brilliantly and closed the game down when we threatened in the second half, on many occasions in the first half their movement left our fullbacks especially Herd in a two on one position, they were clinical when the luck came their way and nasty when needed – ie. turning 50-50 tackles or minor fouls by us to their advantage by fooling the referee they were more serious.

What they had in abundance was desire, exemplified by how they ridiculously played the ball out from a drop ball in the 90th minute and then pushed up on us to stop us playing the resultant throw-in back into play easily, poor sportsmanship? definitely, but very professional and clinical, many may say they don’t like that, but by heck I bet there aren’t many Latic’s fan who wouldn’t trade what they have and did for what we have.
