Looks like there in for the same as us, let’s see if it’s 4 points and not 3
16 June 2023 at 5:22 pm #200087Lets also see if the points are deducted from the 22/23 season or the 23/24 season.
16 June 2023 at 5:54 pm #200088Right so I’m confused, why the hell did they get 6 points which I read as 2 offences at the time so 2 X 3 points April while we get 4 points everytime deducted for the same offence ???
I’d seriously like to know how exact same offences carry different penalty points per club.
Someone from the club needs to contact the EFL and request answers
17 June 2023 at 8:45 am #200095Can’t understand it myself in all honesty Cup Winners. One rule for one…..
17 June 2023 at 9:02 am #200096Maybe we can appeal. A couple of points might make all the difference ! What do you think our target points wise will be next season ? I think 60 ( 52 after the points deduction ) should just about keep us up.
17 June 2023 at 9:07 am #200097I read somewhere the other day the bookies have slashed the odds on us, 12/1 to get promoted.
Edit…Worth a tenner!
Fuck the EFL
17 June 2023 at 10:26 am #200099If we start well I reckon we could make the play-offs.
18 June 2023 at 5:14 am #200101Seriously guys I think you need a head wobble.
Firstly,we’ll have got rid of 2 thirds of the whole squad so the manager needs to recruit under a no doubt far stricter budget than the Bahraini Binmen thrithfully spent, then 8 points on top!?Anything lower to mid table and I’ll be over the moon.

We defy the odds, its in our DNA!
Fuck the EFL
18 June 2023 at 1:29 pm #200110Anything above relegation and I’ll be ecstatic.
18 June 2023 at 5:40 pm #200111Eight points is feck all easy get them back
With maloney in charge and danson backing
We are on the way back up
Massive crowd on today at the football stadium for the reserve match between the wurriors and mighty wires
What was it 25k lol19 June 2023 at 6:08 am #200112There’s 4 words you can choose from on how it will go
1) Pessimistic
2) Optimistic
3) Realistic
4) FantasiseI fall into category 3
Firstly Maloney has to skillfully recruit from the cheap sale rack in weeks then he has to prove he’s a good enough manager to piece it all together. I hope he does but even the experience managers don’t like full rebuilds they prefer to tweak a squad.
He got to wait till June 30th then he can start hunting then he’s 5 weeks before the season starts.
There’s alot of teams who will have a settle squad and will only be adding 1 or 2 new faces were as us?, add a nought on the end.The manager has till 11pm September 2nd to build a squad and by then we’d had of played 4-5 games. I think we should not put fans pressure on him just let him get on with the job at hand.
For me it’s time to throw some of the young lads in, no arm bands or swan neck blow up hoops. I think there’ll be a few that will shock and excite us fans.
We need the likes of Wyke get fit and playing or give him away if poss and Lang to bring them through.
Heard Powers gone and Whatmough to follow 2 players we really could have done keeping but money is the issue here.
I’m with Edwards on this one, anything above relegation and I’ll be happy then hopefully push on in the 2024-2025 season. This coming season must be treated as a rebuild nothing else.
I personally feel more than anything and I hope I’m wrong, Maloney might struggle. I just think the task at hand will be overwelming for such an inexperienced manager
Hope I’m wrong but that’s how I feel19 June 2023 at 7:09 am #200114What was the attendance ???
19 June 2023 at 7:17 am #20011514-12 to Wigan.
20 June 2023 at 6:27 am #200129For a cup 1/4 final Wigan v Warrington the attendance was a joke I cried laughing, what an embarrassment,
9,302
and Warrington probably took 1500 so they were as p1ss poor considering you can walk there in a few hours.
It’s a dying sport, no one’s bothered no one cares especially so called fans who prefer the TV no wonder Dansons gone elsewhere he’s probably thought, if they can’t be arsed neither can I.
