I wouldn’t be too sure about that Mutty
Seems my hunch may have been correct. ;)
And what a fantastic game England v New Zealand was. The owd farts down the road at Twickers must dream of having a game like that in their lifetime.[/
I doubt that very much.
They can attract 80,000 people regardless.

Did you watch Ireland v All Blacks?
The RFL must dream of an occasion like that in their lifetime.

It’s in the Non-football area, so no problem with it.
26 November 2013 at 12:17 pm #123814Was devastated on Saturday when they scored that try, but at least I can enjoy the day on Saturday now without worrying about the game and being annoyed when the Aussies put 40 on us.
Been a cracking World Cup this and hopefully the game can build on it, but I wouldn’t trust the RFL as far as I could throw them (which if you’ve seen a picture of Nigel Wood you will realise isn’t far)

Only the All Blacks could have scored that try in RU. Nobody else has the skill to throw the ball from one side of the pitch to the other like they did every tackle. Most teams would have knocked on or ended up running in touch.

The problem being egg is that most SL games are not competitive enough apart from the top four playing each other my guess and tis only a guess any outstanding players on view at this RLWC will be snapped up by the Australian league leaving the SL bereft signing what is left they still need backers of significance to provide the dosh needed to pay the players to stay in this country
1 December 2013 at 2:13 am #124129Well for those interested in the attendance it was 74468. The highest ever for a rugby league international apparently…(is that good or bad?
)
Permutation of 3 from 2, became 2 from 2, but in reality there was only ever going to be 1 winner.
Most of us supporting NZ, but they never got going.
First time I’ve been inside OT (footy version) Seats much smaller and closer together than Wembley. Wembley would be 100,000 at least with the same seat size/distances.
Had England qualified, yep we would have lost, but the atmosphere would have made the hairs stand up…ManUre fans aren’t that noisy but that place could be awesome.
£25 to sit right behind the sticks upper tier…cant knock the prices…
