There is no substantial substance to this “rumour”, however, I heard a whisper that with Chris Eagles not agreeing a new deal with Blackpool and becoming a free agent again he is being touted as a replacement for Maloney.
I notice the papers are saying that he may be interested in a return to Bolton so he has a desire to remain in the North West, whether it would be a good signing or not is another matter. It may be all smoke and mirrors as well.

Wigan’s Marc-Antoine Fortuné is the latest striker to be linked with the Blues.(Ipswich)
According to the Daily Mail, Town and Charlton are keen on 33-year-old Fortuné, who has scored only twice in 19 appearances this season, most recently in early October.
French Guiana-born Fortuné started his career in France with Angoulême, Lille, Rouen (loan) and Stade Brest before moving to Dutch side Utrecht in 2005.
It reminds me of an hot air balloon losing altitude and heading slowly to ground, you have throw out all the dead weight to make the drop more comfortable.
