Do you not think it a little bit strange, considering he’s only supposed to have arrived in Wigan today. Done and dusted in a couple of hours. Surely not, tour the club, have a swanky meal with big Dave and then think about it overnight. Maybe Villa Real covering their b/sides after premature announcement and thus alerting every other club.
All it is, is negotiating about payments up front, appearences etc.
There is nothing about the player not agreeing or staying with VillaReal.
Its a lot of money, we cant blame DW for wanting to get the best deal.

Seems as though Villareal have given us permission to speak with him to which we have agreed terms with Ruben. But then when it has come to putting meat on the bones between the two clubs, it has stalled.
Hopefully only a minor blip and it can be resolved soon enough.

I read the original version as saying he is staying with Villareal as he cannot reach “a certain/definite deal” (un acuerdo definitivo) with us.
To me that’s a “until he can reach agreement it’s everything as usual, chaps” not a “he’s definitely stopping with Villareal”.

Translate that and it says how the clubs haven’t agreed but still not dead.
