We scoff at paying 4 million for McDonald, and try and get him on a ‘buy now, pay you later deal’, to which Celtic, quite rightly, said “No chance”. This because it seems we couldn’t afford the 4 million.
Then we go and start spouting about paying 7 million (£’s or Euro’s-not much difference now) so how does that work then?

You dont know the circumstances on the McDonald deal. what was offered and what wasnt, so your negative stance is mispaced. Whether we can afford £4m or not is something you have no knowledge over so stop talking rubbish.
The media talk about £7m or Euro’s, statements on a foreign clubs website was maybe placed there to stoke up the fuel on the fire and try to force the price up. Maybe Whelan is being sensible and not being stiffed over the price. Again, you have no knowledge of the actual facts so you talk rubbish again.
The transfer Window in January is notoriously slow and dull, we have 3 signings already to strengthen the defensive options, shame on Whelan for giving the fans what they want. If we sign a no mark from Swansea to add to a squad then what is the issue with this? Why should your expectations limit what roberto can and cant do in his job. Again you have no idea on actuals or facts, just reading into potential internet gossip.

All I have ever heard is the deal is not concluded.So to start blaming Whelan and Wigan? people are just jumping on their backs for the sake of it.
When the truth is none of us know exactly what goes on at the club. But alot have opinions about it. Nobody knows whats its like to negociate a transfer or contarct or how to run a club.
So we should all just stick to spectating which is what fans are suposed to do instead of giving all the shi.te talkor just Ignore me I’m just pee’d because I got Ruben on the back of my Shirt :D

No, I’m sorry, I’m just fed up of every transfer window becoming a shambles and a joke. Other clubs just get on with things and get deals done, but with us, for whatever reason, there is always a hitch, or a snag. Are you not fed up of it? Well I am. And I know others are.

I am aggravated, it seems as if the fans are just being kept interested.
One thing can not be denied by anyone, if it is there not telling the truth;
Before this season began, what we needed was a striker. Since then, we have lost 2 strikers so now the situation is desperate.
Surely the club would have known this and that being the case, would have negotiated a transfer to be completed on the opening day of the window.
He could have played in the FA cup, what is a massive game tonight, been ready for Everton Saturday etc.
I just find it so frustrating that we seem always to do things the hard way.
May be wrong, but you can’t blame anyone for losing their temper.Lets see what happens over the weekend. Given our current record, if we can stop shipping goals, we have plenty of attacking options scoring so we will be fine. The next month is key to survival.
One thing is for sure is that the papers sell based on speculation, so teams like us in trouble will always be seen to look to spend our way out of trouble.
What can be sure is that Wigan/Whelan always under delivery what the papers promise !
