I think it shows how skint we are and can’t pay him off but going down would kill us.
24 November 2019 at 1:02 pm #182220He changes things, goes 442 and people still moan.
What subs would you have made?
It’s not just about subs though is it ?, his negative starting 11 doesn’t help as well. Results don’t lie, he can call it bad luck whatever but at the end of the day especially away it’s just like the Groundhog Day movie.
For whatever reason it’s just not happening for Cook at Wigan. Were like any other club were it’s nice to have players and managers having an affiliation of some sort with the club but if the results don’t come you run the risk of a sacking.
I’m just shocked he’s lasted so long and if the owners stand thier ground on him going nowhere then they better get their stall set out for League One football.
It’s time for a change and don’t be shocked if Moyes leads the team out at home to Reading.[/quote]But everyone is complaining about his substitutions? I mean, Naismith is getting the blame again from some angles yet he wasn’t anywhere near the 3rd goal.
I agree about Jacobs. Another who is clearly a L1 player. Personally I would be picking Pilks or Windass.

He dabbled with two strikers for 16 minutes.
24 November 2019 at 1:24 pm #182223So what would you have done donny?
Again, nobody can offer any reasonable alternatives and are just slagging things off like a bloke with tourettes.
SUBSTITUTIONS, NAISMITH, 442, AWAY RECORD, NOT GOIN AGAIN.
The 2nd goal has f*** all to do with any of the above, it was dreadful defending that I’m pretty sure wasn’t part of the planning.
As I’ve said, gamble that he can keep us up or gamble a new man can with the same L1 players but I have no idea who we would/could get. Really tough call. If we sack him and still go down it could cost us a fortune.
24 November 2019 at 1:44 pm #182224Not even worth debating anymore.
Manager is shit, and so is his team.
Shite. Need say no more.
24 November 2019 at 1:46 pm #182226Cook ain’t going anywhere. Don’t waste your energy. Get behind team or don’t bother going to games. Go Xmas shopping with Mrs like VAT. If expectation is to be in top half of Championship with our crowds and income your likely to be disappointed. As an example our entire wage bill last recorded was 16 million. Stoke receive 35 million from Premier League in parachute payments alone and are still below us despite doubling our attendances and taking our best player from the last few years and putting him on the bench. Survival is our aim every season and Cook so far hasn’t found himself in the relegation spots too often.

24 November 2019 at 2:39 pm #182229Big Roy’s crock of s### posts get better. We know your content cos as you’ve stated previously “league 1 is our level “. Cook is a car crash. The squad we have is seriously underperforming. How many more mind numbing last min capitulations and away dropped bollocks do you need before you’ll hold your hands up and admit your way off backing him ????….Remember…..its a results business!!!!!!
24 November 2019 at 2:51 pm #182230I mean, Naismith is getting the blame again from some angles yet he wasn’t anywhere near the 3rd goal.Every team needs a scapegoat. It would have been Naismith’s fault even if he hadn’t come on.

I still blame Gomez and Naismith for that Gillingham goal in 2000.

24 November 2019 at 4:35 pm #182237It looked to me the when Naismith came on he went upfront with Moore? I don’t think he got 3 touches.
Can’t blame Naismith tho, he’s far from the root our problems.24 November 2019 at 5:10 pm #182238Well 2 who dont get a run out definitely not league 1..Pilkington, Windass. Then Moore in my opinion championship material so is Williams,Morsy,Mulgrew,Robinson, Marshall aren’t league 1…so that’s 8.So please explain with nearly 10 mill spent in 1 window and with at least 8 (imo) championship standard players how you conclude that we’re performing adequately for the players we have ???..Oh and as of 12:30 today we are now the championship lowest scores…..and the EFL’s joint 2nd lowest …only Bolton have scored less!!!

Michael O’Neill used to be a scapegoat. I remember one game when the whole crowd cheered when he got subbed. Bet he had the last laugh yesterday.
