We was favourites to go down at the start. Very rare the bookies are wrong just like last year when we was never tipped to go down.
Oir fans just demand too much sometimes.
25 November 2019 at 10:54 pm #182282Well there wasn’t much else to do during that ‘performance’ but you’re right our support is shit. Far too many people not happy unless they’re complaining.
Real simple and easy question for you.
Where did you expect us to be this season and why?
Bit patronizing. I’ve forgot more about football than most people on here will ever know.
.
I don’t think you can call anyone’s football knowledge on here, we all have different opinions that’s all.
When your teams winning the managers a genious, when your losing he’s an idiot. But were all on the outside looking in and in reality know nothing compared to even the worst manager ( with exceptions, a topic for another thread?).
We just care about it all it just so much it hurts so badly and keeps us awake at night!!25 November 2019 at 11:42 pm #182284He shouldve been sacked today.
Shithouses.
Egg, you sound like youd be happy to see us in lower leagues.
Is there no ambition any more at this club? Doesnt sound like it.
From a fan perspective I hated the Prem if i’m honest. Horrible league. On the other hand I love this division and would be quite happy to stay here for the foreseeable with the odd decent cup run.
As my mrs will tell you, I hate losing but as I’ve said on other posts a new manager won’t necessarily mean success.
Spot on with those sentiments but with the poor away form and tedious football it may just be the time for a change but like you say nothing would be guaranteed.25 November 2019 at 11:50 pm #182285Jewell had twice as much money as rest of league ya daft sod!Really? Im interested in you producing the facts to back that up big Roy!
26 November 2019 at 1:16 am #182289We deffo had more money than every team in League one and had more than majority of Championship. Whelan pumped more money into the club than we have ever seen. The wealthiest clubs generally do the best. Of the top 5 currently 3 are in the top 5 attendances. Of the bottom 8 4 have amongst the worst attendances in the league.
Last year we had two players in Powell and James who would have cost about 30 million to buy and we have replaced with unproven league one players, an academy starlet and a couple of has beens. We don’t have money for much else and as egg has stated with the crowds we currently have its hardly gonna get better. We are in one of the biggest leagues in the world and have less than 9000 fans. How are we gonna compete on any level? Cooks kept us up and has so far kept us out the relegation places this year. For all the passion some of you show on here I don’t see many Cook Out flags at the game or the fans chanting for his head. Rarely heard as much as a boo. So stop the talk and threats to boycott. Get to the game and demand his removal. Or is Primark more appealing VAT?
26 November 2019 at 1:34 am #182290There is no other bunch of supporters in world football that have had a fairytale like we have yet we have all these supposed diehards throwing wobblers because the going is tough. Grow a pair and stop acting like spoilt kids.

Youve all got me very wrong. If Cook is still in the dugout, I wont be there. But I won’t be anywhere near the shops either. Itll be a football bet and an afternoon sat in the warmth, not pissing about shopping.
I cannot stand another home game sat in freezing cold, watching that tedious shite. I feel the club will take the piss if we get beat again tomorrow night and he is still in charge on Saturday. Really taking the piss.
And if the powers that be wont act, then why should I bother on Saturday?
Sod it. I dont have to justify myself to anyone. Its up to me whether I boycott or not.
26 November 2019 at 2:24 am #182292Since January 1st think we’ve lost three times at home. Has it really been that bad?

Bye Dave. Shut the door on the way out.
26 November 2019 at 2:58 am #18229426 November 2019 at 8:25 am #182298Where does everyone get this bullshit about Powell ?…..He did eff all in his last season, stole a living and didnt make any efforts when he did make an appearance. Carrying on where he left off at Stoke……hardly turned up. So dont use our 2 best players gone its one..Lost 3 times at home ??? Hells bells, sounds great then season has 31/2 month break……talk about desperate trawling for positive stats…Try 13 pts out of a possible 96 away……hows that sound.????
26 November 2019 at 10:46 am #182299To suggest our home form under Cook hasn’t been great is like saying our away form under him hasn’t been poor.
In 2017/18 we lost once at home.
2018/19 we lost 4 times and this year we’ve lost 3 times so far. So in 54 games we have lost 8 times. Most fans only go to home games as our away following is shite so presumably the majority of fans must be happy with what they have seen at home. Especially given the fact we pay bugger all for our season tickets.26 November 2019 at 11:54 am #182300We deffo had more money than every team in League one and had more than majority of Championship. Glad he has gone.
BIGROY, in all honesty, Ive never really enjoyed watching us under Cook’s tenure. Weve always played this slow and laboured style, one up front shite. We only won that league one because it was shockingly poor…we werent actually that brilliant during that season. Even at Doncaster away, Griggs goal apart, we were bog standard against a poor Donny Rovers side.
This season, I believe we have gone worse than last season. Grigg has flopped at Sunderland, but I still think we shouldve kept him. And are any of our current midfielders any better than Max Power? I dont think so. Thats shit management. And then you get things like Gary Roberts getting another years contract…what was the point? He is just a wage for nothing. Hes never let us down, but he isnt even on the bench.
The players he has brought in, Pilkington and Fox, are so brittle, its easy to see why we picked them up. Our other players pick up too many injuries…usually hamstring, as well.I know others who have never been a fan of Cook. I think he did his job of getting us out of League One, but this club is terrible for cronyisms…always has been. Jobs for the boys and those who know someone within the club. For me, it needs a complete upheaval from top to bottom. A manager to come in who has no previous links to us, to come in and operate with a clean slate and carte blanche to do things their way.
Thats what I want. And the manager to be of a higher pedigree, be that someone with lots of Championship experience, or experience from a top level European league. If we can’t get the right British or Irish man in, we look at the Bundesliga or somewhere. Think bigger. Not start sniffing around Nathan Jones or Mike Flynn…we already have a league one manager at the club, we dont need another one.

It seems to me that you are only interested in the club when it’s doing well. If you’re going to boycott games when we’re crap, you may as well boycott the games altogether. I’m not happy with the way things are at the moment. But work permitting, I will always be there giving my support through good times & bad.
