Its not how much you spend its about buying players who will do the job.Wolves, Blackburn and Bolton have all constantly invested more than us in the transfer market and have all been relegated.Im sure Mr Whelan would love us to be able to throw millions at it but it must be justified and financially right for the club.Stoke have spent silly amounts of money in the last few years and now the chairman has curbed the purse strings and we could see them struggle this year.Lets trust in the board and manager to bring in the players who they believe will keep us in the Prem for an unbelievable 9th season.My opinion like that of the other older generation who have been with the club since non-league football will probably always differ from the younger fans who have only known Latics since Prem/Championship days.It doent mean my opinion is right but its the knowing how close to going out of buisness we came in the past that makes me trust in Mr Whelans acumen as chairman to steer us in the right direction.
