Just say we have 14,000 season ticket holders and only 10,000 of them are buying tickets, then that could swallow up anything between 20,000 and 30,000. Add to it the corporate season ticket holders that have already got theirs and wooooosh they could all go! :woohoo:

If every season ticket holder buys three tickets each, there will still be 1000 left for General sale. And that’s from a club official (via Scoffy!)

And 25% of them are under 16s, the future is looking good…
My daughter’s friend works in the ticket office, she rang her during her lunch break in the last 10 mins to see if we had sorted our tickets, they were told by the ticket office manager that they had sold 4000+ tickets over the counter alone not counting online sales in the first hour, and thanked them for all coming in to open up at 9am.
She said that nobody had given them further updates but they had been equally as busy since that first hour, and every customer was buying the maximum they could on their season tickets.
4000 tickets sold in one hour that seems a lot saying there are 5/6 counters open, did she not mean 4000 in the first 4 hours?
The conversation took place at just after 1:00 pm, according to what my daughter told me, the girl said 4000+ had been sold just after 10:00am not including online.
I think the early birds would have been buying for groups with multiple season tickets so they can sit together.
My missus and son spent an hour in the queue until I managed to buy online, and she said alot were doing the same and leaving the queue when someone got their tickets online, but talking to people around her many had client codes for 10 or 20 people, one person near her had codes and was purchasing for 70 people.
Anyway an update from the ticket office, nothing on numbers, but ar 4:00 pm they stopped anyone else joining the queue, which was still up to the east stand, and they were staying open until the all the ones in the queue had been served.

That’s probably only so that they could shut on time, nowt to do with how many they have sold.
