The ground is a huge financial burden just to keep it up & running, the pitch, under soil heating, grass lights and all the staff.
Lenagan doesn’t want the ground, he’s happy to rent rather than be the Landlord it’s far cheaper that way to him.
If we go t*ts up that ground will 100% be bulldozered. It’s a sole purpose structure. It’s not like a large unit that can change from b&q to storage units, it’s a stadium and if it’s not been used then it will get knocked down for sure.
This is why I said both codes need help with money for this ground from the council. If not this town runs the risk of both codes folding with no were to play.
The ground is tired and will need a fair few bob spending on it to bring it back to life.

3. Not owning the stadium might be the best option – it seems you are constantly blaming your financial woes on the lack of rent.I seem to remember it been said that,
When DW was in charge the rugby were charged an amazing 10% of all match day gate fees.
Considering kids were paying something stupid like a fiver or a tenner per season the rugby were paying a few thousand a week which is incredible.
I always said 25,000 seats was 5-8000 seats too many considering how many we averaged at Springfield Park 15k-18k would have been well enough.
I can’t renew till the club come clean. I’m still in shock after the way the current owners portrait themselves when they took over this family feel type club hear for the long term then months later bills aren’t been paid.
So staff have been paid but players haven’t ?, It’s just gets worse. I read somewere that a part of our owners business empires owes £40+million which might be reason why we’re pinching from Peter to pay Paul.I can only see this ending one way and we’ve all seen the damage that causes.

Yes received email about 11.30 just read it. Something about having to use a barcode.
No mention of when they will be on sale or if the early price will be extended

I just think they will see it as a perfect opportunity to get their hands on the stadium white elephant or not. I remember the ‘ secret ‘ meeting at Warriors where Leneghen said something along the lines of ‘we will have to wait until the next time they go into administration ‘. At the time I thought it was a strange thing to say but he clearly meant they will try and get the stadium if Latics go bust. So I fully expect that will be the first thing that will happen.

With how my finances are at present, me putting in £370 for a season ticket is probably no different to Mr Al Jasmi putting a £1M on the table to pay this months wages.
If he can’t be arsed telling us what is going on and how he is going to sort this whole mess out, then they can bugger off.
They are not having a penny off me until I have a guarantee from him that everything is sorted out.

We’re all angry now and with reason, but once that new season gets closer (or the deadline to renew our seats) most of us will sign up.
