so what are you saying griff that it is your drinking buddy arky who is owd git?.last year i noticed that arky posted twice one morning.1 min later owd git started posting which i found very suspicious or was it just a coincidence griff ;) .i would say that it is 2 possible people.it is someone who sits near me and my brother as he seemed to know about when we left etc. if arky sits in the west stand that rules him out unless :lol: he was watching us through a pair of binoculars. the plot thickens as they say ;)

i don’t though griff :) , it might come across as i do but if i do mention it, it is allways tongue in cheek. i have got a reputation for been obsessed about multi’s but it just is not the case honest guv ;)

That beats my reason into a cocked hat and it isn’t offensive either.
I get the impression that some posters on here go through every post with a fine tooth comb. I refuse to start a sentence with a capital letter on purpose. And (ha ha ha) if it gets under the skin of the proof readers then it’s fine by me. Let them have sleepless nights, tossing and turning worrying about other people’s grammar. because it’s turning into a pedant fest on this forum. But I think it’s funny that after reading this post they will be having kittens.

There are others that suffer from a certain ‘paranoia’ – unfounded I may say, and there are others that have taken the ‘jocular flavour’ of this thread into other threads….and that I believe is your gripe – I concur.
What this thread has shown, however, is the need for benevolence, commitment, courtesy, devotion, faithfulness, impartiality, knowledge, loyalty, moderation, openness, respect, wisdom and of course………………………..
……………..Eloquence.

ANYTHING? well yeah i do i grasp most things.
and il admit im not the best speller half the time im not even concentrating as im talking on the phone or w/e. If you’ve got a problem with any of my posts i really dont care.

and they will log on to there lap tops this morning and they will be apoplectic because i dared to start a sentence with and, but and because ;)Bob, I think it is fair to say that most members of the ‘Grammar School’ on this forum don’t give a monkey’s chuff about whether people misspell words, start sentences with the word And, misplace apostrophes and the such like.
Those seen as pedants will generally just let things go unless something amusing comes out of it. It’s just banter, not criticism or holier than thou lecturing . The grammar/spelling issue has been brought up in jest on other threads, because in all honesty, some people have made far too much of a big deal about it.
Do note however, that the ones who randomly ridicule the perceived poor grammar and spelling of others are the same ones who resort to name calling, and who will deliberately argue that night is day just to get a rise out of another poster.
