Let’s have a thread for Summer transfers in and around the Championship.
Cardiff City are set to sign striker Adam Le Fondre, after agreeing a fee with Reading. They’ve already signed Spanish striker Javi Guerra and Austrian midfielder Guido Burgstaller.
I haven’t heard of the other two, but Le Fondre would be a good signing for ourselves I think. Scored plenty of goals at Reading.
28 May 2014 at 2:03 pm #131506Cardiff have also signed Federico Macheda on a free.
Plenty of firepower.

28 May 2014 at 9:37 pm #131510We are signing two players before the weekend is out.
The first one is Andrew Taylor from Cardiff. A 27 year old Left wing-back who has played 100 games for Cardiff since signing in 2011. before that he played over 100 times for Middlesbrough. B)
The second one is James Tavernia a 22 year old right back who has spent most of his career on loan at various clubs. He is a Newcastle player, but spent most of last year on loan at play off promotion winners Rotherham. B)

What a journey!29 May 2014 at 12:47 pm #131519Bobby Zamora won’t be offered a new contract at QPR apparently. I’d get him signed before Cardiff sign all the available strikers and we’re left with Holt.

True, but he won’t get that at many other clubs and will probably be first choice here so it comes down to what the player wants I guess.

Besides which, I think he’s turned us down twice before so it looks like he don’t fancy moving oop north
