I might be OK with danson so long has he does not leg the rugby fans hang their rugby rags from South stand
Turn the stadium into a rugby museum put in cherry and Shute seats
Or.name the stadium after testing parkStarting to soften your tone now? Give it a couple of months and you’ll be that glad to have a club, you’ll be sat on a red seat at the New Central Park Stadium with a Warriors Club Crest carved into it.
12 June 2023 at 6:17 pm #199994Mutty sums up perfectly why we need to look at the motives for Danson potentially buying Wigan Athletic. Why does he want to separate the stadium from the club ?
12 June 2023 at 7:13 pm #199995Come on chaps has anyone else got a better idea now the tax man has his nails in with a winding up order.
Do you know what that means ?
Wigan Athletic gone forever. So Danson buys Latics buys us then your scared he does what ? gives stadium to Lenegan ?sells it Lenegan ? Stick some rugby flags up ??
Fact, Danson is a share holder he does not own the rugby. If he decides to buy and sell the ground we still have a legal right to play there.
Please don’t start thinking Dansons a bad thing Jesus Christ he’s not even bought us !!!, Some of you have obviously not took a peak over the fence and looked what will happen if he doesn’t?I honestly don’t give a monkeys about a ground that needs millions spending on it they can have it with open arms just as long as the name Wigan Athletic remains.
Beggars can’t be choosers and right now we’d make Oliver Twist look like Jeff Bezos
13 June 2023 at 8:03 am #199996So we’re served a winding up order, yet Bolton are let off month after month of not paying tax as was their case a few seasons back?
13 June 2023 at 9:07 am #199997The reason HMRC are taking a tough line with us is the owners twice showed HMRC “proof” they had the funds available to settle the tax bills at any moment. That’s what Markham/Gottman published in their resignation statement.
Failing to pay the tax due puts the owners in the “deliberate defaulter” category with HMRC and a different level of response from HMRC.
If Talal and cronies didn’t actually have the money available, more fool them for lying to the taxman. That never ends well.
13 June 2023 at 9:56 am #199998This might be the sticky point, no doubt the current owners will be trying to get the best deal they can and try and recoup some of their losses while any potential buyer will want any debts paid off to be reflected in the price.
If what you say is true, and they did or do have the tax money owed to HMRC then why the hell would a buyer be prepared to sort that out ?.
No doubt all parties will be hard at it as to who pays what and a valuation of the club.
I just hope someone can come in and sort this mess out before that fat prik at Begbies earn another few million quid13 June 2023 at 9:56 am #199999This might be the sticky point, no doubt the current owners will be trying to get the best deal they can and try and recoup some of their losses while any potential buyer will want any debts paid off to be reflected in the price.

The sh!t is going to hit the fan a lot sooner…have a read of this and be very worried –
13 June 2023 at 11:59 am #200002Nothing will be done to hinder us until the hearing, though I really hope we are sorted this week, never mind in 6 weeks. Southend have had 6 winding up orders, they just pay a little and it gets cancelled… The last thing HMRC want to do is actually wind us up… they will certainly get zero money then. this is just a way to hurry payments along.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
13 June 2023 at 12:30 pm #200003Time to sell before they can leave for nothing or just get rid of Wyke. I wish Fulham would hurry up selling Robinson, he would eleviate alot of the money issues overnight.
Let’s be honest here, we need someone to purchase the club in the next 7 days or else things will start to smell turdy.
When I say sell the club what I really mean is, give the club away like the HK Cookie Crew.
If Jasmi thinks right were actually of any value after the debt hes put us in then someone needs to check his Hubble Bubble pipe cause he’s definitely been nobbled. Were like a Landlord trying to get top dollar for a property after recovering it back from a sh1t load of squatters.
What you want and what you get are 2 different things.
JasmiHoldings seriously would you ??14 June 2023 at 10:12 am #200014Isn’t it ironic that the EFL decided to hold a meeting on tax issues that occur with any clubs that struggle just after our ongoings:-
“New rules, set at the EFL’s AGM in Chester last week, say non-payment of HMRC debt for 30 days inside a 12-month period will bring spending limits for three consecutive transfer windows.”
I didn’t realise the are recently amended rules.
So that comes in when ? 26th June ? can someone confirm if that dates correct or not -
