And don’t forget your umbrella, gutted not at the game today (on piss simply red crap)I hope it wasn’t painful but I’ve said it before enough is enough.
12 December 2015 at 9:19 pm #146185It wasn’t pretty. Slow, monotonous, boring. A continuation from last week. Not good enough. One pass to foot in the box to Grigg. Nothing in midfield but sideways and backwards movement and slow build ups. Again a job done by Pool and an easy job at that. We never stretched them at all. Got to give Caldwell a bit more time though. A month ago things were going quite well but at the moment clubs have us sussed unless he changes something.

He keeps saying that they need to gel as team still as they haven’t been together long. I certainley didn’t see too many signs today of the side gelling together.
We were out fought by a team who only had six players a week before the season started and they looked liked they’ve managed to gel together alright. Its time for a total clear out of everyone involved with the footballing side of Wigan Athletic who worked with and under Martinez and start again as it is just a continuation of the borring, negative, sideways and backwards, predictable crap we suffered under him for four years but with worse players.
Things need to change pretty quick or the only thing to look forward to this season will be the impending administration of our six fingered friends from over the border.
12 December 2015 at 10:12 pm #146187How much time does he need? At least as long to match the unbeaten run plus some more I would suggest.
12 December 2015 at 10:12 pm #146188That is probably going to be the only thing to look forward to this season after what we have witnessed again this week.
Martinez is a memory and that’s all whether it was a happy one for some or a yawn a minute for others and yes Gary must be his own man and stop trying to copy what has gone before. Whether it’s the Rosler like swapping around or the Martinez passing from the back or how it was again today backwards passing.12 December 2015 at 10:26 pm #146189How much time does he need? At least as long to match the unbeaten run plus some more I would suggest.Even during the unbeaten run we looked far from impressive apart from against Colchester (but hasn’t everyone got at least three against them) and Blackpool in the JPT (with the 2nd string playing).
The last five matches against Swindon, Shrewsbury, Burton, Barnsley and Blackpool have been atrocious and there can’t be anyone, not even Standish who can argue with that.

One decent effort on goal all game, from the only decent cross to Grigg all match, and their keeper tipped over Griggs excellent effort.
Jacobs had a half chance late on that the keeper kept out easily.
Other than that it was another case of keepy ball, tip tap crap, backward and sideways mistake ridden bilge with the odd run up the wing by the overated one trick pony of a winger from Boro.12 December 2015 at 11:30 pm #146192Like the bit about Wildshit. Was expecting more of him today. Hardly gave the strikers any service at all. Nothing at all coming from the wings. Right side is shite. Left side is just questionable. What are James and Wildshit meant to be doing. Could it be better with James deeper and the one trick pony used as an out and out winger?
13 December 2015 at 12:41 am #146195Didn’t go today but caught bits on Wish, sounded a frustrating game.
GC keeps saying teams change their tac tics when they play us, well it’s about time he started to change his, and discover a plan ‘B’. To keep rolling it out from the back and passing it around the back isn’t working.
We’ve now lost to two teams in the bottom four “at home”, if that isn’t telling GC something then i don’t know what will!13 December 2015 at 1:26 am #146196Yanic can’t do everything he must be sick to death of waiting for the ball to get passed forward as I have said before our centre midfielders are rubbish and play way too deep yes that includes Dorothy perkins he is rubbish. And for Caldwell the way Sharpe left early with a face like thunder anymore games like that he’ll be gone
13 December 2015 at 1:55 am #146197Yanics job should be to bring the ball from midfield and deliver it to the strikers with James playing the ball out of defence to him but the left side is about as inefficient as the right at the moment. Central midfield is even worse. All the side are shackled by the managers in distance of passing out from the back and crab like movements up the field. Negative shit that is easilly countered by sides who do twice the work as we do.

No. Sharpey was going to Asda to get his tea in and had read on his Facebook feed about the floods at Asda.[/quote]
He used to have his own chip shop, now he has to go to Asda for his tea. Sums up the slump the club’s in :S
Tip, tap, pass back, doesnt work on a waterlogged pitch….hoooooofffff it up field might not be technically pleasant, but is more likely to produce a goal in those conditions.
Bring back Moses
13 December 2015 at 11:30 am #146200The pace at which we move the ball around is so unbelievably slow that we must be a dream to play against. By the time it gets to the wings they have two men on us rather than us overlapping as the intensity is so lacking. Defensively we seem ok to me. Apart from Yanic I’m not convinced of any of the midfield and forward line. Given we have beaten only Peterborough in the top 12 in the division all season and in the last 8 days have lost to two of the bottom 3 clubs it’s surely time for a rethink.
13 December 2015 at 2:19 pm #146201Signs have been on the wall since Coventry away and all the way through the unbeaten run. May get a chance to play a tip tap game in April/ May when pitches get better but untill then in the lower leagues it is roll your sleeves up and graft like to name a few Burton, Port Vale Swindon Bury Barnsley Blackpool Shrewsbury Doncaster and most others who accept they are lower league clubs.
