It is pretty much like that at most clubs though Egg. Nob Enders were moaning three or four weeks ago and the Dingles are less than happy at the moment. I reckon its not so much negatively that does it but disappointment at not achieving what you would like to acheive.
Just look at club forums, do well and they tick along but slip up or do shite and they are much busier.It’s the Wigan way. If every game isn’t won convincingly then the Managers crap, the players are crap and the clubs on its arse.We’re 6th in the table and TBH I don’t think we know our best XI yet properly.
The next few weeks will determine the season for me. If we can get out the busy period and still be in the top 6 then we’ve a massive chance of going up.
I don’t think it is just the Wigan way, that’s a bit insular. I also don’t think anybody is getting too harsh a time either.
The fact is we were all set for giving time to everybody, not knowing how we’d fare this season, with such turnaround. Now that we’ve all seen the league and most of it’s teams, I would probably call our achievement of 6th so far mediocre and certainly the football we’re currently playing mediocre at best.

Yes, it’s been poor for two consecutive Saturdays, but prior to that we had a fantastic home record and had been on a decent unbeaten run.I think some people really need to give their heads a bit of a wobble.
Decent unbeaten run ? you would have been fine just saying unbeaten run but decent ?. That performance on Sat was as bad as I have seen in the last 3 managers and I put that down to the manager. We have the best squad in the Division and against Burton we got ran off the park.

But those games weren’t part of the unbeaten run were they?
The unbeaten run WAS a decent one. It’s now ended, and seems by many to have been very quickly and unfairly forgotten.
I think people were happy with us winning but think of some of the performances in that unbeaten run and last minute scrapes. I can think of 3 what you’d call promotion looking performances, Scunthorpe, Colchester and Rochdale away.
We can do it, we just need more of it.
I didn’t see too many people berating our performances during that run though. It was all Wembley and promotion. Now that results have dipped it turns out we weren’t that good.

Fans will put up with inconsistencies and boreing football when their team are on an unbeaten run.

Virtually every post contains a veiled dig at him!
Any of us would admit that Perkins isn’t a world beater but we have had worse at this level and at least he puts a shift in. I would worry more about the blue eyed boy Wildschutt who wanders in and out of matches. Seems we have had a little dip in form since his head may have been turned with agents etc.
Taxi re-booked for Martinez address Goodison Park, Well done GC and the boys Barnsley have not won at home since September but you can only beat whats in front of you and our boys did that today. Boxing day will be a different story against good opposition and the taxi could be re-routed then. All the best folks, soon be Christmas .
