The Dundee Evening Telegraph are reporting that Dundee United have made a third bid to try and tempt the Latics to part with striker Billy Mckay.
The 26 year old Northern Ireland international only arrived at the DW Stadium from Inverness CT in January, but a lack of first team opportunities, both last season and this, just one start, eight sub appearances and no goals, suggest that Mckay is not part of the plans at the Latics and a bid around what was paid for him, believed to be £150,000, should be enough to secure the move.
With Billy Mckay looking set to leave, Shaq Coulthirst returned to Spurs with a thigh injury we are down to just two strikers, Davies and Grigg, expect some movement in the transfer market over the next few days to strengthen our attacking options.
