Of course it’s Cook’s fault. What other manager in our plight would start an 11 as if we are away at Liverpool?? With no quality at all in the middle and playing continually with 10 men (Invisible Lowe) beggars can’t be choosers .Preston were piss poor away and he should set us up to make them worry about us. But no….he immediately concedes the midfield….sticks Moore out in the wilderness and has Morsey playing on top of the centre halfs bootlaces giving Pearson acres to stroll in. It’s shocking, frightened tactics and the reason we are in a mess. This league apart from a couple of teams is very equal yet he gives everyone we play way too much respect….has no balls….and loses the games before we set foot on the pitch. I believe we can avoid relegation……but not a hope if he doesn’t grow a pair and throw the kitchen sink at teams.
10 February 2020 at 9:38 pm #184907Nobody on here ever heard of wing backs? It was clearly a back 3 with 2 wing backs on saturday hence why pearce was always out of position because he isnt as quick as robinson at getting back.
10 February 2020 at 11:16 pm #184912Was a flat back 5 with 2 defensive midfielders.

Been the problem all season egg, should have won but didn’t.
Relegation now nailed on, Luton along with ourselves and probably Barnsley but Boro are just as bad as us. If we cannot put a few wins on the board in the coming games we are gonners12 February 2020 at 1:41 pm #184985Relegation boat starting to pick up speed now rather than drift now in my view.

11/10 to stay upYou never see a bookie driving a Fiat Punto. The problem is, some clubs with far stronger squads are in and around the drop zone with us plus we don’t have a game changer like last year with the likes of James and Powell.
At the end of the day if we do go down the buck stops with the manager. Crazy substitutions and head scratching team selections ain’t the fault of the players.
Then you have players wanting out says alot about the manager and if you cross his path there’s no going back12 February 2020 at 4:13 pm #184993I firmly believe we should be mid table now. We have won games DESPITE the manager and have certainly lost games BECAUSE of the manager. No matter the outcome of our season we should start next season with a new one.
12 February 2020 at 4:17 pm #184994No matter the outcome of our season we should start next season with a new one.The irony of course is that he is a good League One manager, and just the sort of manager we would be looking for if we go down and get rid of him.
The really hard decision to make would be getting rid of him if we get back into the Championship. Hard to do if he gives a promotion.
Something of a Catch-22 situation.12 February 2020 at 4:59 pm #184995That Charlton result is an absolute killer, but we should have won last night.Only as much as the win at Leeds was a killer to them. You’ve both had unexpected away wins at sides that should have put you to the sword, so there is no real damage done. Its about how you deal with the sides that you should get points from. Last night was an opportunity spurned, but as your run-in after WBA isn’t that frightening, it is still about how you deal with sides that have nowt to play for, and sides who are scrapping for survival.

I don’t doubt that

Something of a Catch-22 situation.[/quote]The difference between Championship and L1 is probably the biggest around. You have found out twice already that a side who looks very shit in the Championship can piss L1, only to look shit again the following season. If you do go down I suspect you’ll stick with Cook, and only pot him if you are not ripping up L1 next October. If he does get you back up, then he’ll have the job for half of the season to see if he’s learned any lessons.
