Even the saints fans are getting fed up of that dying “sport”.
My rugby watching mate says they normally sell out the north and take up sections of the east and West.

They’ve never travelled well when they’re not expecting to win. If they beat us then there’ll have been 30,000 there.
No doubt the attendance will be announced as 25,004.
Be around 23000 I reckon

1,000 in south are held back (not on sale) as it’s something to do with unreserved seating (god knows why???)

£10 tickets in east have all gone i believe (as you’d expect for their big derby coincidentally held every year on a bank holiday when everyone off work)….i’d love to know how the computer throws the same fixtures up year after year

if our lodgers are selling north stand tickets to worryers fans, then they must be desperate to reach OUR stadium records( 1st,2nd or 3rd)

i’ll go for a few hundred more than we got on last sunday, on a NORMAL sunday afternoon against a bottom half team from the opposite end of the country, also televised

Tickets for final last year were £45 to £115 so could be a bloody dear doo this! For me and my boys I reckon we are talking £500 on the day with travel and food. I’ll be going but can see why others can’t justify it.

I heard Swansea fans talking of £72 and £90 tickets for the League Cup Final, a few weeks ago. FA Cup final is more prestigious, so it could be a dear do indeed.

South stand sold out.
Few single seats left in both the East and West.
Tickets now on sale in the North after Saints returned some.

Sorry, wrong thread ;)

don’t really care if thousands were outside and couldn’t get in

I’ve got £60 tickets and wished I hadn’t bothered. I’m right at the front of block 118 which is in the corner and low down. When I tried to swap them the girl said they have to be sold according to ‘FA rules’ which seems to mean they sold the cr@p ones first!

She also said that sales were quick to begin with but were actually very disappointing and they do not expect to sell beyond block 118 (blocks 119, 120, 121 and 122 will go back) :(

I think there must have been a change of plan, as I know somebody with tickets in block 119.

Or maybe they’re selling well?

I am gonna estimate an attendance of between 40,000 and 46,000 for the semi !

60-70k, I reckon. I DO believe Wembley is too big for a semi final, unless you have two of the ‘top clubs’ playing each other. Our progress this season, and that of Millwall, makes a mockery of the FA’s ignorance in having the semi’s at Wembley. Perhaps in the future they will have a rethink? Or is it all about money? (It is, isn’t it? They can make more money out of having games at Wembley)

Villa Park would’ve been ideal for Wigan V Millwall, wouldn’t it? About 50,000 capacity, is it? Halfway between for both sides, too.

Most of it is fact yes. Doesn’t make your points clever and/or valid though.

Ps – there’ll be more Wigan fans in the ground tomorrow than there were against Newcastle and probably at all of those stadium records you mention ;-)

PPS – Back on topic please folks
