Okay I’ll bite again in yosser world the club should of kept old of the players that let us down last season on championship wages in league 1 the said players having run up a wage bill of 20 million we get 8 to 10 million parachute payments plus gate receipts probly comes to 12 million a loss of £8 million over a season Sound economics in yosser world but not in the real one .
The cheap alternatives as you call them is what we can afford at present then again what would be the alternative to get better players at bigger prices and higher wages not a sound economic plan but then as you are under the impression that DW siphoned all premier league cash what is their to expect from you
you must remember crowds will be two to three thosand less this season hence a million plus down in revenue but in Yosser world that means nothing
In analysis your spouting shyte
9 August 2015 at 6:02 pm #143837Okay I’ll bite again in yosser world the club should of kept old of the players that let us down last season on championship wages in league 1Is this true? I did hear a rumour that no relegation clause had been written into any contract over the past two years. If true (and lets face it, selling an entire 1st team squad for buttons suggests it is) that smacks of arrogance and gross mismanagement by your management, Chief Exec and the board of directors. Wolves suffered a double dip, Pompey did, Leeds, Forest, Bradford all did. What did they imagine gave Wigan a God-given right not to be relegated twice in two years?
However, Turkeys dont vote for Christmas and it probably explains why only Alex Cribley on the management front lost his job.
9 August 2015 at 6:21 pm #143838And Wolves soon did bounce back into the championship. Did they get rid of both a Premiership squad and a Championship squad when they had done the drop or did they have faith in their players to get them back up. A few months ago we looked at our squad and thought well we could do OK even after releasing players out of contract and short term players. Surely with what we had then and a couple of new faces we could have done OK. But now after getting shut of the lot and bringing in a stack of journeymen and other rejects together with no prior match practice and expecting them to gel into a strange system is expecting too much at the mo. Maybe after Christmas but if not by then expect another cull in January. I think Wolves still had some of their prem squad in league one.

Indeed they did your correct but lets have a look at some figures Wolves still averaged 16000 crowds plus in League 1 and with a considerable difference in season ticket prices.
9 August 2015 at 6:52 pm #143840Not all doom and gloom yesterday having had time to reflect.
We looked quite comfortable on the ball, but has some have said already, the build up was too slow and predictable. When we did inject a bit of pace from back to front, we looked threatening.
The other good sign for me was that GC had a plan B. Within minutes of starting the second half, he made a double substitution, one being Davies who gave us more of a direct approach.
Verdict: not the best of starts, but one that GC will have learned a great deal from.
One change for me would definitely be McNaughton in for Kenney. That owd head with young legs still, should be in the starting 11.From Matlock to ManU

9 August 2015 at 11:23 pm #1438492 players remained did they
Well I know of one who’s still there you didn’t include.
I’ll give you a clue, he’s still there, playing regularly and used to play for us.
MENSA graduate
9 August 2015 at 11:28 pm #143850I’d say we’re gaining more recruits Yosser who don’t have Ostrich tendancies.
400k for Waghorn and Tavernier just keep revisiting that shall we as the season progresses.
Oh and for the record Gary Caldwell will take no blame from me whether we end up at the bottom or mid table, this is a tough tough 1st challenge in management. I actually feel sorry for him.

As thick as ever! He wasn’t there in the first place!
Not sure you’re understanding the post. This refers to the team that started the first League One game compared to the team that was relegated at Brighton. Didn’t include Dicko as at that point he wasn’t at Wolves. He signed for them almost 5 months later. Afraid Ya need to get out of bed earlier son!
