I dont know where to start.
Id say we were shite….but I dont think we were that good. Fair result. Fylde were shite and we will probably win 4 nil at DW.
Terrible that tonight. Cook needs to look at some of these players and have a word.
Our fans are a disgrace as well and my boys have said they dont want to go another away game. Ignorant latecomers took the piss, standing at front and ruining kids view. And couldn’t get in toilet for beakheads waiting for cubicles. Beakheads and pissheads juat running amok. Sod that on future, cant be arsed.
2 December 2017 at 2:57 am #163827That sounds bad Vat coming from one of our own especially after the glowing reports our away following got last week.
Hope the kids are ok. Too many knob heads in the world.2 December 2017 at 3:51 am #163837Fans were shit with no atmosphere .
2 December 2017 at 3:52 am #163838We got in ground nice and early, wanted to get a nice, safe spec for the kids who are 11 and 8. Did so. Or so we thought.
First 10 or 15 mins was full of latecomers “just have one more pint” coming in anf then deciding to stand smack bang in front of us. Kids couldnt see at all, so had a word with 3 or 4 and told them to move. Stewarding was crap. Kept shepherding people in from the corner, then told some to move into spaces up on the terracing, yet let a group of about 10 bellends stand at the side of the goal, up to the hoardings. Totally ruining the view of kids and several people who had been in early. Some Wigan fans are a disgrace. There was a toilet cubicle without a toilet fitted in. Can you believe people were still pissing on the floor? Absolutely disgusting. I’m no prude, heck I went in the old Wembley toilets where you were paddling in piss, but come on!
Battling to keep my kids interested but it will be home games only from now on.
Anybody who didnt go tonight, think yourselves very lucky. Shocking performance against a piss poor Fylde side. Plenty sideways passing, hardly tested their keeper. Maybe we arent as good as we think? Is it League One thats poor quality? If we go up we will need a complete new side as nowhere near good enough. Massey isnt good enough, Power was shocking and one up front…I hate it. Grigg cant play the role. He got a goal but did nothing else. Morsy, Evans and Jacob trying to create things, but nothing up front.
So a replay it is then. A game we didnt need and a 2000 attendance. At least we are in the draw, I suppose. We didnt deserve anything other than what we got. Had a lot of possession, did nothing with it.

Hope the kids are ok. Too many knob heads in the world.Mate, too many more arsed about going on the piss and shoving beak up their noses, than the actual match. Piles of empties dumped outside the away end…are people that hard up for a drink? Football comes secondary. Match had only just kicked off and could see groups of blokes all off the toilet together. Could tell with peoples eyes they were beaked up or stoned. Sad when people have to do that at football.
2 December 2017 at 4:03 am #163841Reflection on our Knob head society in general. Hope it doesn’t put the little uns off.

You sound like you might still wear a flat cap and overcoat, complete with ‘Football rattle’ :) I remember when that Fylde ground were all fields tha knows ! ;)

Just pisses me off more and more that football is used as an excuse for a big piss up. My dad reckons its because a lot of blokes are that henpecked, its the only chance they get to do it.
Wouldnt mind as much if it didnt have the knock on effect of getting blokes coming in after kick off and then expecting a prime spot. Some were ignorant a hell with it. Thats my two young un’s put off. Cheers.
2 December 2017 at 11:04 am #163853Terraces always tough for young kids. I wouldn’t blame a few lads pissed up for coming in late as we’ve all done that but stewards and police all stood like lemons completely incapable of moving what was no more than 25 blokes from an area that was clearly a gangway. To be fair given the tripe on offer they didn’t miss much!
2 December 2017 at 1:27 pm #163854Should have gone in the seats vat. Terracing is always an issue.
Performance was poor, but thought itvwas a tidy little ground myself.
2 December 2017 at 1:36 pm #163857Vat, you have given the very reason that standing should not be brought back to our stadia. People forget about kids being at games.
2 December 2017 at 1:40 pm #163858One of the reasons I pick and choose which away games to go to, and we’re certainly very careful about which ones we take the grandson to.
Tend to avoid the “jolly boys’ outings” ones, Like Blackpool (or Fylde). Much prefer the further ones where more real supporters travel, rather than yobs who can’t “hold their ale” looking for a booze up.2 December 2017 at 1:46 pm #163859Vat, you have given the very reason that standing should not be brought back to our stadia. People forget about kids being at games.TBH They don’t care – they still stand all through, stand in aisles, pile all into seats they have not been allocated, chuck flares at random into our own fans etc etc.
However – I am with you that seating is still far better for me and mine. There is some control at least. “Atmosphere” is used as an excuse for reintroducing terracing – “atmosphere” is NOT a load of pissed up lads falling over, slurring and creating problems for our own fans.2 December 2017 at 3:18 pm #163861Thanks everyone for sensible and understanding comments.
I was anti terracing being brought back before last night, but even more so now. It just plays into the hands of these idiots. Not wishing to say too much, but we have seen all too well the effect that supporters arriving late can have on terracing. Different last night, as you entered from the side. But imagine those people had all come in through a central tunnel into the busy area behind the goal…
And also clubs can’t charge £25+ for terracing. I agree its nonsense saying it effects the atmosphere. Not really. It makes it harder for people to act like bellends, although you always get idiots standing up in their seats. Fools have paid to sit then choose to stand! Brains.
I did wonder beforehand if it would be a ‘jolly boys outing’ as you fantastically put it, GL. I thought it may not be, due to the ballot. But it was. Half the people were more arsed about having a drink than the actual match. Just ignorant standing in front of kids who had been in the ground since 7pm. Yes, stewards to blame as well for letting it happen. In future similar situations, its TV and a pizza for us. Ive always scoffed at armchair viewing, but I think its the way to go in future.
And sod the replay too. Really cannot be bothered with that. 2k at most.
2 December 2017 at 4:08 pm #163863I had similar experiences at old Trafford with my kids, away with kids is just too lairy, wont take them again. It feels worse now than it did when I was a kid in none league and div 4, when I used to go all over the place with my dad. I stick to home games these days.
