Above all else, the comments thrown at Roberto Martinez are disgraceful, they show a total lack of respect for him as a person, as a player and as a manager.
Also, and this is what every fan that feels fit enough to hurl this abuse should look at, they should step back and look at his/herself’s comments and think “yes, that was objective, to the point and not disrespectful to Wigan Athletic Football Club”.
Ignore if you must the fact you are trying to tear apart a manger of the club you profess to support, you are dragging the name of the Club under with your total disregard for what this club stands (used to stand) for. We are a Family Club, and if you treat your family like that, well that would explain everything.
Have a bit of God damn respect when you spout off about WAFC and its staff, there is no need for the name calling and the childish insults. Debate about tactics, subs, the game, but stop the disrespect.
If things are going bad we pull together just like we have done in the past, we get behind the club.

A good point if not a little naive as far as footy forums go !! You do understand that when things start to go wrong on the field at football clubs invariably the manager takes the strain for it. Right or wrong that is what tends to happen and a lot of the time if such wrongs carry on then the manager gets the chop ! Thats football for ya !
Hardly naive, it is bang on the money. The moaning, whinging, debating and disgruntlement (might have made that word up) is par for the course when things are not right in someones eyes.
The poster doesn’t deny this, their point is absolutely correct; the way some go about it, is disrespectful to what this Club stands for.
It will be interesting to see if there is a rational response from the ones concerned, well done northern.

What I find difficult to comprehend is a certain posters obsession with Mr Martinez and his failings. It’s quite disturbing and leads me to conclude that Bobby must have been servicing his wife or perhaps killed his dog. At the very least he’s place all his life’s savings on him being sacked before the years out, only for reality to finally sink in that it isn’t going to happen.
There is the argument that supporters pay their money and are therefore entitled to have their say. I’m not saying I subscribe to this 100%, because if I was at the cinema and the projector* broke, I wouldn’t go screaming at Fred the Projectionist with his Kia-ora to “f*** off back to Marsh Green, you useless tosser”.
Besides, the hurling of abuse is totally unproductive. It does not impact adversely on Martinez’s position at all, though it very probably does impact adversely on the team’s confidence and perfomance levels.
can someone answer me a couple of questions
how on earth can comments/debate or arguements on a fanzine message board “effect teams confidence or performance levels” ?
why are posts on a message board about martinez “disrespectful to the club” ?(i have never heard any defence by the editorial/moderators team on here of brenda spencer who has been ripped to shreds in the past)
what does “this club stand for” ?( not the clubs fault but we have some of the the most racist,homaphobic,chauvanist group of fans anywhere and many inhabit this board)and in other clubs fans eyes its the fans behaviour that identifies what a “club stands for”
Where was the “family club” behaviour at blackburn on saturday ?
It just seems to me that if its anything anti martinez its disrespectful but anything else goes,thats the trouble all the usual arguements for him are wearing thin and a good deal of barrell scraping is the only option left.

i have stated on here many times i never boo at the ground and always stay to the end -but some of these who have posted on this matter dont seem to be able to seperate cyber world and reality.even if players/martinez knows what is being said on message boards(most cant even speak english so how would they)big deal they get rewards that mere fans cant even comprehend -and this bunch of plodders we have dont seem to have any respect anyway for the fans-judging by how quick they exit the field every week -win ,lose or draw.
on your last point, yes i am, if it makes some on here feel a little better by throwing insults my way let them do so – i know that my arguements stand up to serious debate – and i have no problem defending my position – right or wrong ,i also have enough about me to not have resort to playground antics unlike some.

(ii) Liverpool fans are not unhappy solely with their manager – they are unhappy they dont get to spend like the rest of the top teams any more – even if they all wanted him strung up on the pier head with his entrails hanging out – i bet you all the tea in china you couldn’t find ONE liverpool fan who would swop hodgson for martinez.
