Not everyone travels away, especially when its on tv.
It is a fact that they have the largest number of travelling supporters to away games in their league.
Its also a fact that the Latics have the smallest number of travelling supporters in their league.Note from admin, surely fulham hold this title?
Get over it – there’s nowt you can do about it. Unless you can personally persuade another 2000 or so Latics fans to make a 20 mile trip to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester & Blackburn.we take a good following to blackburn!
Probably fair to say our away support was much better in the lower leagues, so whats happened spending £100 on an trip to one of the London clubs when you know we’d have to play the ref and play the team off the park to get a draw quickly losses it’s appeal. Cost and corruption something our egg chasing brothers don’t have to experience!
They must of took over 6500 like Warrington did last week then
:naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
Strange how the visiting end holds 2000 more for a rugby match than it does for a football match. I thought rugby fans were twice the size of football fans!
I thought the North Stand held 5400, which was reduced to 4500 due to it being unreserved seating for Rugby matches, so I think your maths may be out, particularly when you consider that there were quite a few empty seats in the North Stand.
Secondly, granted Warrington brought around 4000 last Friday, but when you compare how many (few) they take to anywhere other than Wigan and St Helens, you’ll find that over the season, more Wiganers travel to away games than anyone else.
I note you dont dispute the bit about the Latics’ travelling support – however I’m surprised you didnt try to compare it to a to a trip to Bolton for Fulham to massage the statistics!
Why isn’t this guy banned?. Although he comes up with some reasonable arguments occasionally until the cherryand shites allow us to post stuff he should be banned and his postings removed. I know his sport is a parochial and irrelevant but he should be denied his soapbox.
