Why can’t we all get on?

I follow the Rugby and I like the Latics to do well.

I have never had to, nor ever will, make a “choice” between the two.

I enjoy watching RL and want Wigan to win when I watch them. I’d support Wigan at tiddlywinks if they had a team. The issue I have, and many on this site, is the superior attitude of Wigan RL fans over the years and the abuse they’ve had to ensure over the years for merely choosing to watch a lower league football team.

Personally, I can take it with a pinch of salt, because at the end of the day, I know who is superior.

Not everyone travels away, especially when its on tv.

It is a fact that they have the largest number of travelling supporters to away games in their league.

Its also a fact that the Latics have the smallest number of travelling supporters in their league.Note from admin, surely fulham hold this title?

Get over it – there’s nowt you can do about it. Unless you can personally persuade another 2000 or so Latics fans to make a 20 mile trip to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester & Blackburn.we take a good following to blackburn!

so where were you all at what ever tin pot final/game at widnes :angry-boxing: YAWN. McGOOSE you ARE MUTTY

I don’t think anyone is “superior”.

There are a lot of idiots watching the Rugby (just as there are a lot of idiots watching the Latics). Many do indeed think they are “superior” to Latics fans who they see as being the “hooligan” element of Wigan sports supporters.

Clearly this is in the main nonsense.

I think we can safely say that the vast majority of fans of both clubs are sensible people, some (like me) watch both, some watch only one.

Tbh I have argued the relative merits of both teams in the past, but it’s difficult to persuade those who have already made up their minds not to listen to reason.

Frankly, if you want to argue and show negativity to one team or the other, go ahead. Just realise that those who do not share your views are no worse a supporter than you.

              I was being ironic.

You know how we gave that “Good Post” smiley? We should maybe have an “Irony Deployed” smiley to help the hard of humour
