http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DW_Stadium[/quote]Yes and I think you’ll find that they include AWAY fans. I said HOME attendances. IE – the number of WIGAN fans.

Well perhaps if your sport was a little bit more popular !! Its not like they have far to come now is it !!
3 April 2011 at 9:28 pm #62876I bet if we went into even more detail and looked at home attendances in relation to were you live, we would discover that in terms of actual wiganers, Latics are way in front. Most people I know who support the lodgers, come from Chorley, Leyland, Preston and Bolton due to lack of egg chasing teams in those areas.
The attendance bragging rights are tightly in the hands of the blue 3/4 of our good town. Live with it!! :snooty:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!14 April 2011 at 6:37 pm #63515why is there so much emphasis on where fans come from ??
why is it such an issue ? as long as they go through the turnstile what does it matter
i bet big dave would be glad of a few more watching your lot regardless of where they are from , biggest sport in’t world un all tha :teasing-blah:

In the normal scheme of things it doesn’t matter one bit. But when you’re using these non-Wiganers as a justification for the town being full of rugby fans, you are arguing under false pretences.
15 April 2011 at 12:01 am #63540ahh right ok , dont think ive said the town is full of rugby fans though

I am sure it was published that Warriors season ticket holders with a WN post code was around the 62% mark, whilst Latics was around the 78% mark.
16 April 2011 at 10:42 am #63587And dont forget that 62% of 10500 is greater than 78% of 8,000.

16 April 2011 at 12:37 pm #63590Sorry, do you not like facts?
Its all well and good saying “only” 62% of the Warriors ST holders have a WN postcode compared to the massive 78% that are ST Holders for the latics.
Simple maths really.
100% of Fcuk all is fcuk all.

Where’s this 8,000 season ticket holders for Latics come from?
I was under the impression that it had been over 10,000 since reaching the Premier League. Have you got a source to show this figure of 8,000?
16 April 2011 at 11:45 pm #63625I will take your word on the 10,500 warriors st’s, Latics last season was 11,800. I very much doubt that slumped to 8,000 for this season, but we won’t find out until December.
On another topic, of those season ticket holders, 28% are under 16, compared to just 11% at Warriors.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
