24 May 2010 at 1:59 pm #34510Dalil Benyahia has no plans to leave Brommapojkarna in the near future despite reportedly attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.
Benyahia has been in impressive form for the Swedish outfit this season and it seems his performances have not gone unnoticed.
Wigan and Birmingham are among those to have been linked with the 20-year-old midfielder and are thought to have sent scouts to watch him in action.
Brommapojkarna director Ola Danhard told Aftonbladet: “I noticed that some English clubs were here. But I have no idea what they were looking at.”
But the English clubs could face competition for Benyahia’s signature if they decide to step up their pursuit, with other teams also joining the chase.
Benyahia said: “I know there are clubs, like Ajax and Sporting, that are looking but I try not to think about it.
“There was a scout from a Dutch team who spoke to me after a game. It’s supposed to go via the sporting director so that’s probably were it is now.”
Benyahia is nevertheless keen to remain with Brommapojkarna until the end of the current Swedish campaign, which runs from spring until autumn.
“I owe it to BP to stay for the remainder of the season,” he said.
24 May 2010 at 7:20 pm #34536Wigan Athletic are very close to making a double Spanish swoop with a £2.6 million bid accepted for striker Adrian Colunga and close to agreeing a fee with Malaga for 21 year old midfield man Daniel Toribio.
Latics boss Roberto Martinez has been chasing Colunga for sometime now but though it is understood that everything has been agreed Colunga himself wants to wait to see if Seville are prepared to match the terms and fee on offer.
Toribio is a young defensive midfield player and he has been described as the Spanish Lee Cattermole, strong in the tackle yet able to play a bit also, he started his career off at Barcelona but moved to Malaga without making an appearance.
This season saw the 21 year old make his La Liga debut and he went to make 21 appearances as Malaga hung on to their top flight status.
More news on Toribo & Colunga should be revealed before the world cup begins

That makes no sense, really. :?
If you think that Roberto is a worse manager would you not think he’d actually be better off with 30 year olds who presumably need less coaching?
Or did you just not think? ;)
