I think you know Carl that nobody would ever be ejected for celebrating.I am aware of ejections made last night from ES2 and the reasons why

Based on our ‘Football Secretary’s’ email, and comments that “nobody will ever be ejected for celebrating…..” I wonder what would happen if a few hundred went on the pitch if we score on Saturday? :lol:(I posted a lot more about our ‘Football Secretary’, but the post was removed, obviously because he actually READS this site!)

Personally any dealings ive had with stu hayton he has seemed a really good bloke! What I wouldn’t do is embarrass him by posting his replies to private emails on a forum like this.
If I were him, it would tend to make me ignore such messages for fear my reply would be plastered all over a public forum. Thus leading to accusations of “the club” not communicating with the fans, etc, etc.
Vicious circle.

I complained about the over zealous attitude of the stewarding to me and my kids in ES3 at the Birmingham game back in December. In fairness to the club, Stuart Hayton’s email reply was almost immediate and this was followed up by a full reply from the stadium safety officer within a week.
They stopped short of apologising, but could “understand my anguish”.

From speaking to different people, both fans and officials at the club es2/3 rightly or wrongly have bad reputations for behaviour and maybe this leads the stewards to behave differently to the fans in this area than say the west or south stands!Tested my patience a lot when Everton scored and the West Stand near the away fans all jumped up to show their true colours, became clear then that the 30 or so Police and Stewards were happy to let them take the pee and would only act if Wigan fans like myself started to confront them, after getting sick of the crap they were giving us endlessly.
that utter tw4t in es2 these days sums up everything wrong with stewards these days, every game he constantly picks on the same people to the point where my dad almost swung for him and that is not like him at all, but when hes telling him how to look after his own kids (well its his grandson but the steward didnt know that) most people would flip. and iv had 1 or 2, 5 minute rants at him, he even now has a go at me every time i put my foot more than 1 cm into the aisles, so that was one of my rants at him calling him every name under the sun, he soon shit himself when i asked who his boss was cause i want to make a complaint last week, didnt see him again today. hes almost certainly an egg chaser or some boring owd barsteward with no life what soever me thinks
this was posted on a differant site by myself a few month ago now but he hasnt changed sinse, he just choses not to bother us anymore
In all due respect, such matters aren’t a Club Secretary’s responsibility. They deal, primarily, with football administration, team travel etc.
Issues like this should be directed towards Head of Security or at the very least, Head of Ticketing/Membership.
There are not many football clubs where the Club Secretary would not respond so quickly, so don’t knock it.
