In my opinion and this is not cockney latics opinion the head steward in es2 is a good lad, he just has a couple of lads who need training in how to do there jobs!
18 March 2010 at 3:57 am #26934In all due respect, such matters aren’t a Club Secretary’s responsibility. They deal, primarily, with football administration, team travel etc.Issues like this should be directed towards Head of Security or at the very least, Head of Ticketing/Membership.
There are not many football clubs where the Club Secretary would respond so quickly, so don’t knock it.
Just shows what a good fella he is!
18 March 2010 at 11:26 am #26942RE: Our Club Secretary, S. Hayton.
My post was geared at gaining a response from him, because I am sure he comes on this site.
However, I don’t actually know the guy, and my criticisms that were with the aim of getting a response, were NOT justified.
Therefore, I offer a full, and unreserved apology for any offence caused.
18 March 2010 at 11:31 am #26945I think you will find that up and down the country whichever ground you visit there is an element of megalomania in most stewards !!

Very difficult to understand how you thought that strategy would work VAT, and smacks of back-tracking to me. ;)
Also, it’s ultimately futile as he has assured me in the past that he DOES not normally have the time to read this site. Can’t say I blame him either; it wouldn’t be top of my priority list if I was in his position.

That said, my own personal opinion is that your 8 yr old son shouldn’t be stood on the seat to start withSo the 8 year old has to look at the blokes in front Bum for 90 mins?
ere ere……..How rude and inconsiderate of you to let your son ruin the view of probably 2 or 3 people behind him depending on the angle of the required view……..Apart from anything its fookin dangerous……and he would be able to see perfectly well sat down anyhow……..Your just an arrogant knob….with a serious lack of scocial skills…………Knob

Must be a big fecker of an 8 year old……deary me! Who is it? T’Honey Monster, or what?
18 March 2010 at 2:05 pm #26965The lad suffers from C.F. and is the size of a 4 year old!

Fellas (not just you VAT) – did you read this bit of the thread:-http://cftrust.org/ so is not much bigger than a 4 year old. Nor should there be anyone standing up in the seated areas according to stewards. it could go on and on.[/quote”>
Regardless of the rights and wrongs of standing on seats, can we show a little respect to the lad and his family please?

I didn’t actually see that bit. My apologies! I meant no offence. But it makes it even worse. I can understand why he was stood on the seat, if he is small for his age.
18 March 2010 at 3:14 pm #26971Personally any dealings ive had with stu hayton he has seemed a really good bloke! And he answers your emails quickly even if i dont always agree with him!
I know Stuart well, and I class him as a mate.
What I wouldn’t do is embarrass him by posting his replies to private emails on a forum like this.
If I were him, it would tend to make me ignore such messages for fear my reply would be plastered all over a public forum. Thus leading to accusations of “the club” not communicating with the fans, etc, etc.
Vicious circle.
Does he class you as a mate?
Much as SW replied to The Egg on the PompeyWestwood thread:-
a) what business is it of yours?
b) why would I bother explaining myself to you?18 March 2010 at 6:33 pm #27003Much as SW replied to The Egg on the PompeyWestwood thread:-a) what business is it of yours?
b) why would I bother explaining myself to you?I was thinking of using a similar model to your latest book idea, and adapting it to this site.
When considering whether of not to issue a response to a post, I thought the following could be considered:
First post: Is this their first post, and if so, are they a wind-up merchant?
Understandable: Is there just cause for their post if it argumentative?
Complimentary: Are they paying a compliment?
Kid: Are they obviously a child who has sneaked onto their dad’s laptop?
Offensive: Is it an offensive post?
Friend: Is this a likeminded poster who needs a supportive comment?
Foe: Is this a known foe where it would wrong not to jump in and reply?I don’t have a working title for the model at the moment though, so any suggestions would be welcome.

I was going to try to think of a title for you but I can’t be A.R.S.E.D.
