With yon mon backing the Brexit side, that’s more than sufficient reason to vote to stay in.

Moonay, I’m suprised that a staunch Labour mon like you would want anything to do with what Cameron and all his cronies support.
8 June 2016 at 11:34 pm #148878That’s the issue though ………..Labour is behind staying in too. The Exiters are the other half of the Old Etonians (who want to return to the days of The Raj) together with bloody Farage (prounounced Garridge” !)
If Gove & Boris are in favour, surely the natural reaction is to take the opposite side Paul !

Jeremy Corbyn is the worst of the lot, he is against everthing the EU stands for and has done everything in his power to oppose strengthening EU links, and now he is going against everything his 30 year + political career has stood for and is cuddling up to Cameron & Osbourne,
Get a backbone Jeremy and follow your principals, you might get a bit of credibility back for you and your party.9 June 2016 at 1:53 am #148883Corbyn is arguing his party’s position from the “Workers’ Rights” angle – something that not only the Brexit Tories abhor, but Cameron & Osborne are very quiet on when pressed about these “advantages” of being in the EU. Things like holiday pay for part-time & agency workers, paternity leave, extended maternity leave, and as a qualified HGV driver, the restriction on how many hours I can be forced to drive each week/fortnight. Sure, it may cap my earning potential, but it also keeps a very tired driver of a 50 tonne vehicle off the road.
As much as I don’t like the thought of hundreds of thousands of unskilled Eastern Europeans rocking up in the UK year upon year, the thought of the right wing tories and UKIP ripping up every right that our workforce have scares me even more.

Cameron couldn’t negotiate his way out of Angela Merkel’s kindergarten; so if we sign up to stay, you can forget any ideas of reform ! In short, it’s a bit like showing your wallet to a car salesman. Taking the brave pill is the only way to break the stranglehold of the European bureaucrats; and if we do leave, others will follow !
Oh and your pension will be fooked if we stay http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/677801/new-EU-threat-pension-expert-vote-leave-protect-retirement-pots
9 June 2016 at 10:41 am #148885now here is a good valued opinion, from one of the most successful British companies:

You’re spot on Lozzy !
9 June 2016 at 11:44 pm #148889Aye, but for every article like that, there’s another that says the opposite. Same with companies. There are just as many who back the staying in campaign…. though if you like articles about the JCB boss, try this one …..
Generally, both sides are as bad as each other. Each over-spins their hand, and tries to make a negative/positive on every aspect of the discussion.
I’d be more inclined to believe (either one of) them if they were to concede some ground occasionally.
I still stick with my Boris/Farridge assessment though.

People need to have some faith in there country and democracy.
If the conservatives do decide to commit political suicide and change workers rights after a vote to leave, you will have a vote to remove them at the next general election and replace them with a party that promises to restore those rights. That’s how a democracy works and that’s what i’ll be voting for in two weeks time.
10 June 2016 at 2:18 am #148899Though I understand where you’re coming from JP, I’m not so sure that it’s so easy:
for a start, half the Conservative party want us to stay in, & half want us to leave ! …….. & secondly, I’m not so sure the EU would be happy to take us back immediately if we decided to do a U-turn.10 June 2016 at 2:45 am #148902Aye, but for every article like that, there’s another that says the opposite. Grow a set of balls Moon Boy.
Be a leader, not a sheep.
When we brexit; the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal and Italy will follow. European Parliament will collapse, but we will all continue to work together with less bullshit.
By the way; Boris & Nigel may share an equal opinion of you as you do of them, so if you have nowt good to say, it’s better to keep your trap shut  :evil:10 June 2016 at 3:03 am #148904Mmmmmm …….. “be a leader, not a sheep” …………. and yet there’s you baa’ing away after Boris the Mother-flocker.
Listening to the debates, the ones recommending “stay” appear to the the ones who have to put across an intelligent argument. The one’s favouring “leave” however merely need to create scare stories, which needn’t have any basis whatsoever in fact !
At least you’ll be warm in your woolly coat.

Just today Major and Blair were stiring the shit up in Northern Ireland.
10 June 2016 at 4:17 am #148907To be fair Paul, you’re right. The opposite can also apply in some instances …… which really goes to prove my initial point to the links …….. it’s just a view from one side.
