No £10million is never going to happen, and to those who think Lennagan will step in and buy the ground?, H e’s more sense than that.
That ground is like a chain and ball to any owners. The running cost nowdays should make you soil your keks hourly.

Phoenix 2021 (whoever the fcuk they are) need to sell for a £1 like Pompey did years ago to at least give us a fighting chance of survival. If they do t and they want to recoup all losses with a stupid £10-£15million price tag they first need come off their meds and rethink it over

A buyer paying £1 still has the problem of the club’s inability to live within its means. With little or no income from season ticket sales, no matches for the next 3 months, no sponsorship of stadium and around £2m in wages each month, even if someone did buy the club tomorrow, they’d need £6m just to get themselves to August, and thats before any new players are signed. And that also assumes nothing needs spending on the 25000 seat white elephant.

You are not alone – almost every club in the league relies on the owner to underwrite the monthly losses, and as the number of local owners with an emotional attachment dwindles and is replaced by rich foreigners with no interest in anything other than being a premier league club, then the number of failures, financial crisis administrations and bankruptcies will rise once the foreigners realise their toy costs a lot more than they imagined.

Selling for a £1 means a new owner can invest your guesstimate figure (not mine) into the squad and infrastructure.

Why did you think I meant sell it for a £1 that’s it ??? Ffs

No. But my point still stands. Spending £6m on wages, largely on unwanted players isnt something a prospective purchaser is going to do. They will want their £6m to be spent on something with some value attached. The club are saddled with the owners and vice-versa unless the owners take the nuclear option, put the club into admin and walk away, but accept that they have lost everything they’ve spent thus far.

Your contradicting yourself. Most of the players will be leaving, 18 will be gone come May June and the rest will look at bailing out in fear of not been paid.

Those who do stop no doubt will be asked to take a drop or move on freely or loan out as most clubs do when they go down.

The decks would be mainly cleared for any new owner/s so they can budget for a new cheaper squad. So saying £6million on largely unwanted players is incorrect. You could say that about any club been taken over but were lucky at this timing unlike when we went into administration. This time season has ended and theres a queue at the exit door.

This £6 million wage bill your talking about will not be gone in June and those who are will either be sold, move on, loaned out or take a drop in pay.

            No likey Fcuky off’y

You can get blood from a stone. Let’s not forget if Robinson is sold Lang or Pearce there’s money from them.
Again give the reigns free so any new owners can budget better than the current car boot crew we have.

Out of contract players get paid until 30 June, and until 31 July if they do not have a new club by then.

£6m covers wages from now until 31 July for all staff. Thats three months of wages for in contract players and 3 months wages for out of contract players (including the money they werent paid last Friday) plus another month for those out of contract players who dont find a club by 31 July.

Relegation reduction clauses dont kick in until 1 July for in contract players, so May & June’s wages will be on current terms.

If the owners dont stump up the money, the season ticket sales (which only account for around £1.5m in total) are done in monthly instalments, and there’s no games at the DW, then where do you think the money for wages is coming from? And it wont be from the Rugby club, because after this weekend they have no home games until the end of June.

So I’ll take that the current owners have told you their not paying another penny, their done, that’s it, shut shop, gone ?

I’m sure if that were the case they would have instructed administrators to start the fire sale. I prefer to just deal with the facts as they stand not the “what if’s” the Monster Inc syndrome, what’s under the bed crap.
As it stands our current owners have never not paid wages, late yes but in the end everyone still got their money.

Until they say different and publicly say so current wages are still been paid, late yes but still been paid.

Why don’t they just approach their bank and get a credit facility to cover shortfalls in wages given they have sellable assets and other income coming in from transfer instalments , tickets etc?
isn’t that what businesses do or am I missing something ?

I was under the impression their very wealthy,
                  I will rephrase that,
I was under the impression the investors are very wealthy

Phoenix 2021 is a gathering of investors who seemingly have stopped investing

The simple answer to that is

                    No

So as per usual there is this death of silence and no clarity to say if and when the unpaid wages have been paid or not.
Right now we should be drawing up a list as to who’s going to be offered deals and potential squad numbers but not us. Were seeing if everyone is going to get paid.

I can tell you this, this next statement from Talal will take some drafting up. I’m not sure how he’s going to convince fans with any yarn he spins. No doubt The Coronation will play some part

I was under the illusion Talal spoke with certain parties Saturday just gone via Zoom but it didn’t come to much I might be wrong with that so someone can correct me on that if I’m wrong.

Im sure there’s alot of things going on in the background as I type that we’ll never know about, whether it’s good or bad is yet to be seen.
You just don’t know if Talal’s been told one thing from Jasmi then inturn he tells us and the press then Jasmi U turns and changes his mind, we honestly do not know.

To be honest that’s the way I’m beginning to think this is what’s happening right now. Let’s take the last statement and press release from Talal. If that was you would you honestly speak to press and supporters knowing it wasn’t true ?. Would you basically apologize full well knowing it’s rubbish and we’ve really not a pot to wee in ?, I struggle to believe that that was the case with Talal. I personally believe he was given assurances from above the money was there then the same people changed their minds basically making Talal look a total fool and a liar.

The only person who knows what’s truly going on is Jasmi, he holds all the answers. Will we ever know what is going on ?
The simple answer is no, Jasmi has hold of the sink plug chain right now half cocked and as it stands were slowly going down the pan that’s unless money promised to us a few weeks ago is instantaneously injected into club and stop us from dissapearing out the League.

The EFL will not allow us to take part in League One next season in our current fianatual state not knowing who and when gets paid. They will need proof something were struggling to do.

Sad sad times as I watch the half hour documentary BT Sport made on the FA Cup 2013 Final.
Talal and Jasmi should give it a watch so they can see what their slowly destroying, it might make them loosen the purse strings but I very much doubt it.

You have to be connected to this club to understand who and what were about but right now Jasmi & Talal are a country mile away from us fans,so so sad
