I wouldn’t say that those going the semi final are the loyal ones. There’ll be a large number of day trippers there in their still creased from the packet red shirts. The loyal obes are the 15k that watch us week in week out even when the entertainment on show is woeful.IF we make the final I would sell in the order of:
Corporate ST holders
ST holders
Non ST holders with semi final ticket
Non ST holders with no semi final ticketIf you watch us every week you’ll get one. If you’re like TipperaryLatic and made the effort to get to the semi then you’ll get one. If you don’t watch us and you couldn’t make Wembley then you run the risk of not getting one but you only have yourself to blame.
All well and good…..in theory.
But what you suggest could end up chaotic. If a ST holder claimed their 3 ticket allowance for the semi, and the club allow ST holders 2 final tickets, if we get there, then under the scheme you suggest, that ST holder would be entitled to FIVE final tickets!
The problem would be seperating the ST holders from people with semi tickets. I believe a vast majority fall into both camps. Not all, but a lot will. Semi tickets have no names on, and I’m not sure if they could monitor who has already had what. Ideal territory for touts if the demand is big.
I’m not sure there’s going to be that many ‘day trippers’ EGG. I believe the majority of what we have sold so far ARE the loyal fans, as according to what we are rumoured to have sold so far were sold to ST holders. I believe we have a ‘hardcore’ of 10-12,000 fans. I believe most will be going to Wembley.

They’re entitled to 1 ticket with their ST. The selling to those with semi final tickets is general sale.
5 April 2013 at 1:34 am #107610I get what you’re saying BTW in that I could use my ST for one and then my semi ticket for another but as all my friends have a ST im not sure why I would.
It MUST be registered who has bought a ticket as it was ST/database only so there will be a way to iron out the creases but I think the priority has to go to ST holders and those who attend next week because the day trippers will come out for the final.
I know a few ppl going to the semi that don’t go very often btw
5 April 2013 at 1:37 am #107611With all this worry and theoretical planning, it’s nailed on that we get beat in the semi.
5 April 2013 at 2:24 am #107620I was told Saturday afternoon before the Norwich we’d sold 18k. That was before tickets had been released for general sale. The guy who told me mentioned it was from a good source. Then you’re “good” source is shite. Nowhere near 18k sold
5 April 2013 at 2:26 am #107622How many have we sold then

My answer was in the post above – no more than 18k. You don’t need to know how I know.
Don’t try to be clever when you’re stupid.

On first glance, and especially to the media and the rest of the ‘football nation’, that looks very poor and embarrassing. But in all reality, we average what? About 15-17,000 home supporters of late?
So really, if we take around that many, its akin to, say Everton, taking 30 odd thousand. Or United taking 70 odd thousand. (not that they could)
We are what we are….and what we are is a small club from a small, Northern town. An economically chsllenged town. We ARE ‘little Wigan’, and yes, we ARE ‘takin the piss’. So what if we don’t ferry fans in on ‘Eire travel’ coaches every week. Thank god we don’t have to enter a bloody ‘ballot’ for tickets. (like Liverpool fans. And they have to buy a fancard for the privilege)
We are constantly judged by our crowds, yet the way I see it, our crowds are alright. Deary me! How we could only dream of having 20k crowds on only a few years ago. Lets not be too harsh on our own attendances. We had 17,000 home fans on against Newcastle. I remember when we had 1,700 on! (as I bet do others) It wasn’t all that long ago.
We could end up with something like 90% or more of our regular home support at Wembley. I mean mainly proper fans, not day trippers. We need to emphasize this at all times to any press or media who push for fan interviews or comments. I’m sure no other club could boast such a thing. We should be proud.
