23 January 2018 at 6:05 pm #165387I’m surprised the ST ticket holders have to pay. But I will. Could be a nice perk of buying a ST
Gate receipts are split 50/50 with the opposition, so if we didn’t charge for ST holders we would still have to pay half the notional charge, so be out of pocket.

Heh! Thanks! I didn’t know that. Thanks for the explanation. Makes complete sense.
23 January 2018 at 9:11 pm #165394I can see us having about 10k home on, and The Iron bringing their full 4700. Looked on their website and there must be a big demand, as it’s all about how many away points people have. So I can see it being around 15k. I will be disappointed if its under 14k.
Its as cheap as it can be, it’s a a mouthwatering, old-fashioned cup tie with a classic and famous old club from the top flight. Older supporters will recall us playing them previously in the cup, back in 84 is… We lost 1 nil at Upton Park to a Ray Stewart (I think) Penalty. Graham Barrow did a challenge on Alan Devonshire, the darling of the Hammers supporters, that basically ruined his career. I think we played them at Upton Park in the cup in our Premiership years, too. Memory fails me.
I’ve also seen mention on their site of the game where we beat them 3-2 to relegate them. That was their last visit here. They haven’t forgot. All in all, it stands to be a great cup tie. I’m a bit surprised it’s not a televised game, but I’m glad as it’s a 3pm Saturday kick off.
I really fancy our chances here.
15000 !! I reckon it will be under 10000 !
I reckon you are very negative. West Ham bringing 4700.
Just realistic man! ;)
23 January 2018 at 9:29 pm #165395If you are a season ticket holder and therefore a loyal fan, i don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t want to go to this game at 15 quid.

Doesn’t some go to the FA?
23 January 2018 at 9:47 pm #165397If you are a season ticket holder and therefore a loyal fan, i don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t want to go to this game at 15 quid. That’s why I’m going and not too fussed about £15.00.
However, I was going to go to Rochdale away until I added up £47 return train, £22 game ticket, £80 hotel for the night, a bit for summut to eat and a day off work. Added to that I’ve already paid £30 for a return train ticket which never got used because the game was postponed. I didn’t pay that for a Cup final.

I was referring more to the wigan based s t holders, I didn’t realise some of our fans have to travel a distance so well done goals galore.23 January 2018 at 11:40 pm #165404Does anyone know yet whether we can pay on the day?
Bound to be Horc as we won’t sell many tickets. Not many people are interested in the cup these days.
Hopefully we can attract our normal league home support.
Probably be pay on the day but it could be just tickets available on the day.
Who knows? Communication could help.
Communication, c’mon this is Latics. They’ll probably let us know at the very last minute, and if you can’t pay on the day, it will be too late for a lot of people to be able to get one.
I understand why they do it as they want to sell as many tickets as possible without having to rely on pay on the door fans. I just wish they would announce it earlier.
I hope they allow us to pay on the turnstile so we don’t have to queue for ages waiting for the the usual interrogation from the incompetent gits at the ticket office.
Being deadly serious here:If you’re definitely going, why not buy your ticket online in advance rather than having to go to the ticket office?
Again, it’s a serious question and sorry if I’m missing a salient point here.
If I’m honest Standish, I can’t give you an answer to that straight forward question. Normal people would just have got them online but we never do for Cup games for some reason.
I suppose by using the ticket office on the day, it gives more scope for our Donny to have a moan and groan.
I always have a go at him for not buying his league game tickets in advance and I do exactly the same for Cup games.
We always do it, and I can’t explain why, sorry.23 January 2018 at 11:51 pm #165405Going getting them in person tomorrow.
Can’t wait for this game. A proper mouth watering cup tie, against a proper big old famous name. Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Marco Boogers, the pride of the old East End. Alf Garnett to Danny Dyer. The Green Street Elite.Bubbles, and the ICF. Lav it!
Arnautivic, Lanzini and Carroll out injured. We have a hell of a chance here you know. £15 to watch a game like this? It’s £15 at Skem United!
Cant wait!!!
24 January 2018 at 1:09 am #165409No cash turnstiles on Sat tickets on the day r just from the ticket office I would defo get one before Sat
24 January 2018 at 1:49 am #165412Official site says that over 10,000 have already been sold with three days and match day to go. I think Ill have to give LHL a ring tomorrow if he doesn’t see this.
24 January 2018 at 1:51 am #165413That will be including the wet spam tickets sold I should imagine.
24 January 2018 at 1:54 am #165414That will be including the wet spam tickets sold I should imagine.I would have thought so.
Anyway lad, heres a bit of news for you, not from the Latisc Official site I hastened to add.24 January 2018 at 2:16 am #165417Saw that. It should find its way over to our communication and media department in a couple of weeks. Think the carrier pigeon has been sent.
24 January 2018 at 2:22 am #165418If you are a season ticket holder and therefore a loyal fan, i don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t want to go to this game at 15 quid.Same would apply to Crawley Fylde and Bournemouth but they didnt at a tenner.
