Saying that Dick, there are some on this message board who admit to not attending games.
Yes and they are usually the ones who can`t wait to log on straight after a game and slag the team,manager,chairman and even the fans who went to the game off. Even the popular posters like filmoss who last season was talking of not going again.Bandwagon jumpers mainly who have only had an easy ride and never known what its like to go through a rough patch.Some people don`t know when they`ve had it so good.If the club ever got in a mess like it did during the Kenyon era these fans wouldn`t stick around at all.The club used to be built on a concrete base of fans now it`s built on paper.Just my opinion

You would be in a current X1 of posters.But i remember you as being a bit part player on here when the old posters where around.Bit like the amateur footballers who turn up for training every week but don`t get a game but still help to put the nets up.The manager is usally kind enough to give them a run out in the last game when there is nothing to play for.

Just another attempted cliche ridden put down that has no basis, dragged out by one of the self proclaimed chosen few because someone dares to suggest martinez’s lilly livered back line is less than solid, in response to that persons insinuation that only those who had been through the ‘bad times’ understand and can comment on the dross served up for the last 3 years by this manager.

Well could you enlighten EVERYBODY as to the name I posted under then, yes I did post on here years ago, but on one of its past meltdowns or moving onto a new server the new host board would not let me use my old username and password so I had to adopt this one I have now – so come on tell me who the ORIGINAL bit part player was.

Couple of points. I remember you from Rivals as loudmouthblue. I don`t remember you at all before rivals so i have only gone off what i have seen. I have never been a moderator or here nor have i been privy to any inside information. If you would like to tell me what your username was then go ahead because all i remember was loudmouthblue was hardly a main player on here when the old posters were around. Since they have left you seem to have taken on a new lease of life.
It looks to me like you would have liked to make the All Time X1 so you can tell me your old name if you like. I still have a few spaces on the subs bench :lol: :lol:

You seem to be quite outspoken for one with so little to say and even less recall of actual facts, during this boards foray with the rivals network you probably are right i never strove to be a “main player”.
I was not one who ever leveled prolonged critisism of the chairman or past managers apart from a few moans and groans now and again at the managers tactics or poor purchases or making it easy for our top players to leave, in fact I would say my feet were firmly planted in the ‘Lightsides’ garden.If you was an ardent reader or participent on this board as you are asking us to believe, you would know my skirmishes with other posters only began when Martinez was given the job and in his subsequent tenure, I didnt agree with his appointment in the first place, I didnt believe his footballing philosophy could work at a small club like us and nothing I have seen since has convinced me otherwise, and I voiced that opinion on here from day one, that is when I became noticed because I was out of sync with 99% of contributors on here.
I think I prefer to be looking down from the grandstand in your little world, I dont or have ever liked to conform or seek approval for my actions and hopefully never will, save your spaces on your ‘subs bench’ for the wannabees who condemn everything that us ‘antis’ say without knowing the reasons they really do so.

All i wanted in this thread was other peoples views on posters of yesteryear. But i stand by what i said about you in that you have only become a prolific poster since the bigger boys have left. Sorry if i touched a nerve with it but i`m sure the people who have been around a long time agree with it especially the bit that you weren`t around before rivals. You can say your old name if you like.I will see if i can remember it but i very much doubt it

Would you not agree that keeping “our small club” in the EPL for two consecutive seasons, plus the other little team that he put together also reaching the dizzy heights of the EPL for the first time in their history, by carrying on his philosophy of the passing game, should not convince you that his philosophy has actually worked? No i dont think that, I honestly believe we have stayed up inspite of martinez not because of him.
Do you honestly believe Brendan Rodgers’s team plays the way it does now because of Martinez? Or are you suggesting that a manager(rodgers) that was appointed, promoted and ultimately learned his trade under, arguably one of the best modern day managers, ditched everything he learned to adopt the doctrine of a man with one and a quarter seasons of lower league management experience.
A serious debate for once, and for that i thank you.
