BNP all the way for me.
Click the link and check out their policies, they make a lot of sense.
Not just immigration but everything from law and order to education and defence.

Yes, it looks great on the face of it doesn’t it? But, we all know the unmentioned undercurrent of the BMP. If you read ‘Mein Kampf’ I’m sure you’d find things in there that made good sense.

If you put a spin on it, you can convince anyone virtually anything.

The damage was done to Wigan in the late 1970s and early 1980’s when all the heavy industry i.e coal pits ,factories and cotton mills shut their doors. The town was left with bugger all like most towns in the north and a generation was displaced by the inevitable mass unemployment that resulted.
The person responsible for a lot of that was Margaret Thatcher and her dreadful policies that affected large swathes of the North and turned places into ghost towns and created the enormous underclass that exists today living on benefits and creating vicious circle that results. The people you refer to probably would have worked in the above industries but with no investment to give this group some work what choice have they got? I am no lover of this government and will certainly not be voting Labour especially if some middle class career politician gets the labour seats here-f@ckin disgrace that.Only investment from central government will sort out Wigan and give some hope lost forever nearly 30 years ago.

Things havent changed whatsoever if anything they have become worse.Labour is full of middle class career politicians -did anyone see that list for the prospective MP’s for Labour at the election.
Didnt one come from Surrey or some such place? :?:

See we will ave a middle class southern bird representing our town…………

interesting to see if the `labour through n through` brigade turn out in their droves like the brainless sheep they are.

Vince. The question is with Thatcher and the mines closing etc. Did she cause them to close or just hasten their demise. Surely the rise of India and China in manufacturing etc would have killed them anyway.

The problem with the government in the last 20 years is that they have done nothing to help the poor in real terms, but quite frankly many of those needing help havent done anything to help themselves.

Thatcher will never be forgiven for what she did to scotland, now wigan have to pay for it :D

The Tory governments sold off all the family silver gas, electricity, telephones and offered the british public cheap shares in these utility companies and the promise of an instant killing on them. Most of the general public sold them back to the city so the result of this twenty plus years later is sky high bills and oldpeople ringing there hands and complaining(probably the same bloody people who bought the original shares) that they cannot afford to heat their house during the cold snaps.
Wasnt it also the fact that the newly privatised companies then decided to import cheap coal from abroad to fuel their power stations and probably escalated the closure of our own coalmines because they could not compete on price.
I blame one person for that and our town and many others up here suffer to this day from these dreadful policies.Government decisions are far reaching across the decades and we are now paying for those decisions in the past.To be honest though the last twelve years have seen little improvement in the UK in fact i think things are a lot worse and i am left wondering what difference there was between Thatcher and Blair.Very very little!

              BTW

I WILL NOT be not voting for the imported Labour Luvvie it is a disgrace! I urge all Wiganers to vote against this nonsense.I want a Wiganer representing me not somebody from down south and my cross will be next to the person who comes from the town not some career politician seeking the safe haven of an easy seat.

And dont forget Labour not only bankrupt the country, place every working person in this country with 30k of debt. They also sold off our gold reserves before the price rocketed 5 years ago…..

I think we need to place the country in the hands of an ITV reality show dictator, they cant get any worse……

They never have and never will get my vote. Even before recent events I felt that labour wasn’t an option, unfortunately all the sheep in Wigan will vote for whatever journeyman is put infront of them under the Labour flag.

My old man always told me that Labour could put a donkey up for election in Wigan and it would get voted in. Some would say they have already, for the past 15 years…..

Dont be so sure i think a shock could be on the cards particularly in the Wigan seat.
Turner had an 11,000 majority at the last election and that could easily fall this time.
The Tories i think have a candidate by the name of Micheal Winstanley standing who im sure is a Wiganer isnt he?The imported luvvie could face a backlash from the traditionalists so it could be a split vote if some of floating Labourites defect to the Liberals or the Tories. Not sure it is so cut and dried this time and an 11,000 majority looks very unlikely in my view.
