That’s right blue. There will be good crowd at our place on Saturday to watch the Lodgers but it will be crowd made up of Lodger fans probably around ten thousand of them like last Friday night. The rest will be made up of tourists and one off fans plus Rugby League fans in general. A mate of mine who plays Union and Cricket is going with a party of others from Lancaster and Morecambe just for the crack and a day out. Probably won’t be many more or possibly even less genuine Wigan egg fans there than genuine Latics fans there on Friday night.

There’ll be quite a few fans who no longer attend games that will attend this and then yes some who go for the craic. Bit like the 30,000 we took to Wembley and then all those who turned out for the homecoming really.

I’d imagine a few people who have Brisbane as their NRL side will go as well. I would have gone to one of the others if New Zealand Warriors were involved.

          Stop making excuses.

12-14000 fatties have managed to make it from out of town to the DW every other Friday night for the past 10+ years, so its not that difficult for your masses to make it from inside the borough of Wigan.

Is that 12-14000 in total for the last 10 years? Because I watched the Huddersfield game and assumed that Charnley had been posting pictures of his needle dick on Twitter again and they’d been forced to play behind closed doors it was that empty and quiet.

The Klumps are the Man utd of rugby, their onabowt doing a special game down London? Now thats plucking at straws. Why are they not haveing a game at Scotland or Wales. ;)

Because they fancied having the game in Wigan on a Saturday. That’s why you played Friday.

Or rather that’s why Charlton played Friday. Not quite sure if Wigan knew there was a game going on.

Empty and quiet….you’d know a lot about that this year would you. DW this season has been like a library full of your “novels”.

Over 11000 home supporters on New Springfield last night which with what has been on offer this season is a pretty remarkable turn out.
In fact it is more home fans than what the Chubsters could attract last week in the opening match of the season.
Probably will be more than could be arsed buying tickets for tonight’s friendly knowing the notorious reputation of Wigan fans not forking out the dosh for cup games never mind friendlies.

                  They being Sky of course.

Also interesting was the number of people I spoke to who though the game had been switch to Friday because it was being shown live on Sky completely oblivious to the fact that a rugby match was taking place at all.

I’ve been amazed at how attendances have held up considering the absolute shite we have witnessed this season.
I wonder what the Chubbies attendances would be if they were next to the bottom of the 2nd tier.

There probably wouldn’t be enough to even manage the legendary “WIGAN WALK”.

Check the records for the Season 78-79 when they went down to the second tier then compare them to Latics records for the same season. Keep it quiet though coz no one who follows the game seems to remember.

P S Mutty, We know we are shite and openly admit it that we are going down but you may still be only one league above us next season with Sunderland being so shit hot at the moment. Be carefull what you spout marrer.

I see the Roly Poly went down in a whimper tonight.Don’t think that any of the Brisbane lads had their heads smashed in by a thugs fist tonight but who knows. Just wondering if Latics got much cash for this one off since we apparently own the ground. Well that’s what DW told us he was doing once over. Just thought the extra money could be spent on a new pitch.

                      #139758

And you would have also seen a crowd in excess of 20,000 there to witness it. That’s the third time a minority sport has achieved this figure since you last managed it. You should be thankful that one team in Wigan is still managing to attract the paying public.

I thought it was a stadium management company who happens to be owned by DW. However, “if” any of the money goes to Latics who “apparently” own the stadium, maybe you could spend the money on some cardboard cutouts to occupy the 14,000 seats that are regularly empty on matchdays. Who knows, they may create some atmosphere!

And The Stadium Of Shite is packed out every week Mutty. A City the size of Makemland and the only senior club in the whole of County Durham. Dozens of individual towns as populated as Wigan and they are all so uninterested in SAFC. Living in the shadow of the big city club over the Tyne Mutty may be your excuse.
