Miserable, miserly, cynical twats.
Losing let’s moan instead of getting behind team.
Try changing formation lets moan at manager.
Swap player lets moan at manager.
Don’t swap player lets moan at manager.
Ticket prices lets moan at club.
Manager hospitalised lets sack him.
Throughly fed up of our so called supporters.1 March 2017 at 1:08 am #156089Think you’re describing 95% of any clubs fans there fat Mon.
1 March 2017 at 1:09 am #156090worst supporters in the country! no where f**king near!
1 March 2017 at 1:18 am #156092You obviously don’t get to many games.
Apart from a little boo at the end of Saturdays match, our fans have given the team plenty of vocal encouragement and displayed a lot of patience with the Managers tactics. We should have pushed on for a winner in the last 15 mins against Nob End, and we were crying out for a winger to feed the two forwards ( yes two ) against Forest. WJ is paid a decent wedge to see and resolve these issues. By comparison some of our fans are paid a pittance and so I think they are allowed to voice their opinion, especially after having spent their hard earned cash watching negative boring football then listening to a plethora of excuses.

1 March 2017 at 6:00 pm #156122We are not in the same league as Liverpool, Leeds, Arsenal and Newcastle when it comes to fans bemoaning their lot
1 March 2017 at 6:06 pm #156123You can’t please a Wiganer. If we won the Premier League some people would complain it wasn’t by enough points.
1 March 2017 at 10:55 pm #156138Perhaps the fans that are ‘Kicking off’ are more passionate than the easily pleased brigade and that they don’t want to see their club going in the wrong direction?
1 March 2017 at 10:56 pm #156139You can’t please a Wiganer. If we won the Premier League some people would complain it wasn’t by enough points.Sounds like you’re describing your rugby mates there Egg. the vast majority of latics fans are very down to earth.
2 March 2017 at 12:15 am #156149Perhaps the fans that are ‘Kicking off’ are more passionate than the easily pleased brigade and that they don’t want to see their club going in the wrong direction?…and perhaps the fans not “kicking off” are those who go week in week out and would watch and get behind um if they got thrashed every week. It’s Wigan Athletic I support, not a manager, or players or Chairman. Its been my team since a young lad and it will be my team when I die. I leave the grounds moaning about how crap they have been then wipe the slate clean for the next match.
The demise of our crowds from when we were in the top flight says everything about our fans particularly the young ones who have tasted nothing but success.I’m certainly not happy with our current predicament and would love to see WJ turn things around, but if any of you think that by sacking WJ it will solve our problems, then think again boys.
Having managed people all my working life, folk are great at finding problems and faults, but not that good at finding solutions. You all have a right to have a moan so carry on if it makes you feel better, but just remember the “Lightside” are in a win, win, win, win situation. If WJ stays and turns it around we’ll be happy, if WJ is potted and a new manager comes in and turns it around we will be happy, if WJ stays and gets us relegated we will look forward to next season, if a new manager comes in and gets us relegated we will Look forward to next season.
One thing that is guaranteed, is if we lose Satdy, the serial moaners will be falling over themselves to be the first to start a doom and gloom thread, I will guess it will happen at 4:56pm.
If we do lose, I’ll check it when I get home from Ewood about 5:45pm.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!2 March 2017 at 12:36 am #156151The 10,000 or so glory hunters are the worst supporters in the country, having seen WAFC as some sort of novelty toy before turning their back on the club in favour of their armchairs.
Of the rest, once you’ve discounted the 2-3,000 who leave early (probably the same ones who buggered off after the last relegation), you are left with the hard-core, proper supporters. Those who see a 0-0 draw against Forest in a different context, because when Forest were going 42 games unbeaten and winning the European Cup, Wigan were hosting Goole in a piss poor stadium and travelling to Worksop on a wet Wednesday evening. Those fans will continue to be here for a long time to come, and are never going to be the ones who boo a 0-0 draw against a club like Forest.

The superfan has been coaxed out of his hiding hole! As I see it, most if not all the fans moaning as you say go to the games so don’t try that old chestnut, have you not heard of smartphones ? Blind faith is what you have just described and if you are quite happy for ‘Your Club’ as you put it to wallow in the lower leagues with fuck all money and a danger of actually going to pot one day then you are more stupid than you actually come across!
2 March 2017 at 12:38 am #156153I prefer fil’s post TBH.
Fuck the EFL

Dave loves us too much to sell up, and Donny has already calculated he could fund it for £5m a year for almost 80 years!

£5m per year will pay the wages of 10 players on £10K a week. Not sure how much our lads are on, but £5m doesn’t go so far, and that’s if he is still prepared to invest.
